The fact that the island of Sri Lanka is a paradise for photographers and naturalists is not required: in any of the reviews about the country there are many confessions on this score.
I'll post just a couple of photos. They are happy and enthusiastic people... What else to add? "Point" to the place:
POLONNARUVA - the 2nd historical capital of the Sinhalese kingdom of the heyday (comparable to the era of Yaroslav the Wise in Kievan Rus in terms of the development of thought and the state). One of my favorite excursions in Lanka is not a languid and glossy space, but a ten-hectare living park, where many objects make you take your hat off to the ancient architects. And, of course, living creatures. . . For example, turtles. . . Right on the ancient brickwork.
