My wife and I went in June (for some reason I wrote in a comment to the hotel that in May - I'm sorry). Liked. Already leaving a review about the hotel, I realized that more than a couple of words have accumulated useful information for those planning a vacation in Montenegro (Budva). I decided to write a little about everything.

Firstly, about the choice of a villa.

We focused on the convenience of the location. We chose the villa "Pension Palma" and did not lose. Everything is near and close to everything. The rooms are poor, small (from dishes - a kettle, two cups and two spoons), but clean and the mattresses on the beds are large and very comfortable - everything you need)

There are a lot of supermarkets in Budva and it is worth taking a closer look at the prices - what is cheaper and where is the best choice. Don't drink tap water. No matter what they tell you about her. Take eggplants of 5 liters. They cost 1.3 - 1.5, but not everywhere. We took in the Mega-Market. It's right next to the market. Do not relax at the bazaar - they strive to stick in rot, give an assortment, etc.

Like everywhere else in the world. For food, close to our villa and advises "Pylon" (this is a local tourism mafia) there is a cafe LM. Everyone advises. I do not recommend. Dirty, cramped and generally feel like in a dining room. They smoke. It won't be to everyone's taste either. From myself I recommend not to be too lazy and go to the other end of Budva (on foot for about 15 minutes) to the street on November 29th. This is almost at the tunnel in Becici. Where is the club Admiral. From the roundabout up the street about 200 meters - the restaurant "Old Rybar". Clean (the tablecloth is new after each visitor), cozy, homely, very tasty and very satisfying. Meals 4-10 euros. The hit of the season is a complex lunch - 4 euros. Only he took it. Soup (delicious, though always the same), salad (salad is salad), the main second course is meat (different every day) with a side dish (also different) and dessert. After this dinner, I just crawled out of the cafe. You can also eat right on the beach. Cafes are different. Menu and prices vary.

Choose according to your taste and budget. The only advice is to choose a cafe where there are more people.

Beach for sunbathing and swimming, choose any of the Budva. Crowded everywhere. Walk along the entire strip - take a closer look. I recommend checking the entrance to the water before paying for the set (umbrella + 2 sunbeds). The bottom changes significantly along the beach. Do not be lazy, ask everyone for the cost of the set. Somewhere it is written, somewhere not. You can find a better place for 5 euros than for 8. I do not advise Mogren. Just go and see. Very expensive and, most importantly, it is not clear why. Set minimum 10 (first line 15), crowded, bustling and dirty. The water is really clean. But she is clean everywhere. As a light extreme, I would better advise you to go to the other end of the bay - to Becici, at the very end, to the beach under construction.

Large pebbles, almost boulders, in the water of the most unexpected shades of green, a steep rise in depth and the clearest water, you can see everything under you - you don’t need to dive. And nobody.

For excursions, choose for yourself. To my taste, I advise Canyons, the Bay of Kotor and the Ostrog Monastery. Please note that the cost and even the route of the same excursion (for example, in the Canyons) may not be the same for different companies. I really liked the canyons. Actually, these are not canyons, but gorges. Wonderful mountain views, on the Tara canyon you can fly over the abyss along the zipline for cheerfulness. I did not dare, but who drove all were delighted. On the black lake, ask the guide for at least an hour for a walk. An hour and a quarter is better. Otherwise, it will not be a walk, but a run. Walk around Herceg Novi on the Bay of Kotor. Don't be afraid of the climbs - it's very beautiful. On the same excursion, they will offer to ride / plunge into the Blue Cave. NECESSARILY!

Do not regret 3 euros - it costs half of the whole trip.

I would also like to share my chance find - the charming park of the Slavenska Beach Hotel. There is a wonderful covered alley with benches. If you suddenly got burned and you need to wait out the most inferno somewhere - you won’t find a better place to settle down with a book)

That's about it. I won’t write about the old city - you’ll come and see for yourself) Unless I advise a cafe in the very center, at the foot of the very turret that is on all the magnets and postcards. There are two of them (cafes) in the very center, right on the square. Come closer to sunset. Settle in the one closest to the fort. You will see for yourself where it is more comfortable and the view is better. Order something to your liking. You can just coffee or ice cream. Leisurely-resort evening bustle, a medieval city plunging into the evening. Change of colors and accents. The wind stops and changes direction. Guitar sounds.

Warm air, saturated with foreign speech and the aroma of strong coffee. What could be better)

Relax )
