Despite the fact that our stay at the Iberostar hotel did not start very well, this did not spoil the impression of the hotel at all. But, in order. We arrived at the hotel (after a 9-day tour of Mexico) around 21-00 on Friday. For reasons unknown to us, there was a confusion in hotels (we paid for Iberostar Paraiso Maya, and we were accommodated by Iberostar Paraiso del Mar), but given the time difference and the weekend, we were moved to a paid hotel on Monday.
The hotel is excellent. This is one of the 5 hotels of the Iberostar system on the Riviera Maya, and del Mar can be called the most democratic and youthful of all 5 nearby hotels.
The rooms are small but clean, located in 3-storey small buildings - buildings. The room has everything you need (hairdryer, shower gel, shampoo, brushes for clothes and shoes, safe, coffee maker, tea / coffee set, etc. ), and the minibar is filled with drinks (beer, mineral water, cola, etc. ). ). In the building on the 2nd floor there is an ice maker, and in the room there is an ice bucket. In general, everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Territory. A very interesting solution. The vast territory is divided into zones of cultivated and wild, almost untouched nature. If you go from the beach to the main restaurant, then first you go through a mangrove and a small forest along a wooden platform, you get into the civilization zone (pool, animators zone, manicured lawns, flower beds, etc. ), following further you get into the real jungle, through which the pedestrian path and exit to the main restaurant, which is located on an artificial reservoir in which white and black swans swim, pink flamingos walk. The main part of the main restaurant is made in the form of a terrace, which makes it possible to watch pink flamingos and swans while eating. In general, it is very similar to a dream. On the territory, in addition to swans and flamingos, there are other animals, including a white peacock! You can walk around the territory of all hotels of this system without obstacles, but with restaurants it is somewhat more difficult. Between the hotels there is a special delivery, which also delivers to the shopping center, a separate delivery travels around the territory of each hotel.
Nutrition. The food is quite varied and for every taste (a corner of Italian cuisine, French, Mexican, American - hamburgers, hot dogs, etc. ). Mexican cuisine adapted (i. e. not spicy). In principle, they feed the whole day, but American-style food - chips, fries, sausages, rolls, etc. ). The only thing with which it was a little tight was with fruit, not a very large variety (maybe not a very good season for fruit). Any booze, any cocktails (we played mostly mojitos and margaritas). At the same time, the degree of cocktails increases in the evening, i. e. in the morning you will be offered a weak mojito, and in the evening you will hardly smell the soda there.
Contingent. The bulk are Americans, among whom there is a fairly large part of Russian speakers (immigrants from the USSR or countries formed on its territory, mainly Russia and Ukraine). There are very few Europeans, let alone Ukrainians and Russians.
Entertainment. Anything your heart desires. I have never seen such a schedule of entertainment anywhere, sometimes I wanted to break. My brother practically did not have time to swim in the sea. Silence lovers can find a quiet place where no one will touch them. Evening performance in the amphitheater. Shows are of high quality, with beautiful costumes, good voices, but only in English.
Sea and beach. The beach is large and clean, there are enough sunbeds for everyone. We were not lucky with the sea - all the days it was stormy. There are stones in the sea and you can get unpleasant injuries. But there is a place, not very wide, where you can go and jump on the waves (there are no stones).
Tips. Welcome everywhere and always, but their absence does not affect the service. If you run out of small dollars, they will be exchanged for you at the reception. There is no special need to change the currency to local money. Local money is needed for trips within the country (perhaps on excursions to Chechen Itza to buy souvenirs).

In principle, it all depends on you and your desires. Without knowledge of English (although a little above the minimum), there is nothing to do there, unless you set yourself the goal of just lying on the beach. I won’t say anything about excursions, they didn’t pester us because in 9 days we saw most of Mexico and we had nothing to offer, but they definitely are there.
Of the minuses of the hotel - paid Internet (somehow they have already lost the habit), although Maya has free WiFi at the reception.
By the way, upon returning to Kyiv, we were returned the difference in the price of hotels for two nights of accommodation and for using the Internet.
What you need to pay attention to. When checking in for a return flight (with a transfer via Paris or Amsterdam), request to be checked in for both flights and check your boarding pass from Paris (or Amsterdam). They register everyone in Moscow and cannot understand in any way that Kyiv is a different country. We fought to knock out registration for Kyiv, and some who had tickets to Kyiv (and a car or the next domestic flight was waiting in Boryspil), they sent them to Moscow, and how after that people got to Kyiv and for what money is unknown.
When choosing a place to stay, I chose Mexico after I read in one of the reviews: "If you think that All iclusive in Turkey and Egypt, then you are deeply mistaken - All iclusive in Mexico. " It was very interesting what it is. Now I am ready to subscribe to each word in this expression.
