We recently took a tour of Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Thailand, choosing places that our people usually do not visit for one reason or another. I decided to jot down a few reviews, starting with Malaysia. We booked two hotels of the same chain on two neighboring (7 km by sea) islands, for three days each. For some reason, Sari Pacifica is mistakenly positioned everywhere as a five, but to be honest, this is a four, no more.

We recently took a tour of Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Thailand, choosing places that our people usually do not visit for one reason or another. I decided to jot down a few reviews, starting with Malaysia.
We booked two hotels of the same chain on two neighboring (7 km by sea) islands, for three days each. For some reason, Sari Pacifica is mistakenly positioned everywhere as a five, but to be honest, this is a four, no more. Therefore, if you do not tune in to a luxury vacation, but simply to a good vacation, you will definitely not be disappointed.
So, the first thing that struck me was the beach. No, honestly, I have never seen such a beach! Not in India, not in Thailand, not in Sri Lanka. Very wide, 70 meters, snow-white and clean. Palm trees, spaciousness and even some kind of desert, although there were a lot of people in the hotel and there were also in the neighboring ones. The beach is very gentle, so for those with children it is perfect. but at the same time, at low tide, you don’t have to stomp two hundred meters in knee-deep water - a very convenient entry into the sea, sand under your feet, not stones with corals. The water is incredibly pure. We were in August, from April to October the season is here. Yes, the season is here in the summer! At a time when Goa is flooded with rain, Phuket is covered by three-meter waves, and in Pattaya, because of the drains in the sea, the smells are still the same. They were, they were.
For children, they rent all inflatable things a la mattresses, ducks, circles and so on. Asians with children, however, only swam in the pool.
The hotel has 15 or 16 rooms overlooking the sea (beach villa) + buildings with the so-called "lagoon" We had a beach-villa. You open your eyes in the morning - and behind it the whiteness of the sand and the turquoise of the sea is incredible.
Food is a small problem here. As I understand it, most of the visitors are Asians (Japanese, Koreans, Singaporeans, Malays themselves), so the kitchen is more for them. However, there were fruits, sausages, toasts, omelettes, and some sweets for breakfast. But I didn’t feel like eating noodles or rice right away in the morning. Asians ate for a sweet soul. The hotel has several food systems: breakfast only, breakfast-dinner and full board. Honestly, I don’t know if it’s worth taking a boarding house. Although for the laziest and those who do not know English - this is it. In addition, there are not many places to eat on the island. i. e. , just cafes and restaurants seem to be as they are, but far away, in the depths of the island, in the only village here. Not right on the beach. The only thing you can do is go and eat in the restaurant of another hotel. The girl manager, Felicia, said that next year there will be much more for the Europeans - from good coffee to cheese and other goodies.
The staff is lovely, unlike in Thailand, everyone chirps in English fluently. We walked around the hotel. It looks like part of it is under renovation. at least a lagoon with fountains. Given that there was no water in it, it certainly spoiled the view for all the remaining tenants in the "lagoon view" rooms. They say that next season there will be a playground and mini-golf in this place.
Wifi worked well in our room. But reception is better. By the way, for the information of our lovers of a spree: in Malaysia, although the majority are Muslims, drinking is not prohibited here. The hotel has a bar. as we understood, almost the only one on the beach. Visitors from neighboring hotels also came to it. Guys either from Chile or Colombia work in the bar, they make good cocktails and their beer is cheaper than in Kuala Lumpur.
For those who like parties - it's boring here. however, in more budget hotels every 3 days they arrange a beach party. But for those who went exactly to the paradise beach - it's great here. Way too expensive. The island, after all, all food is brought here, garbage is taken away, fuel for generators. So it's not going to be cheap here. On Phi Phi in Thailand, the landscape may be more beautiful, but it's just a cesspool because of the thousands of Chinese. Redang is just heaven.
