Heritage Village

Heritage Village, Heritage Village, Heritage Village
UAE, Abu Dhabi
Bedouin village, which still retains its original appearance. Located above the Corniche near the Breakwater.
A traditional Bedouin settlement in the desert has been recreated, including a goat hair tent and a hearth with coffee pots. The village also recreates an old well and irrigation system, adobe houses, old fishing villages and bazaars.
The village has several workshops that imitate outdated methods of metalworking, pottery, weaving, where artisans from time to time allow guests to try their hand at such crafts. The spice shop in the village entertains guests with culinary experiences and small souvenirs. The shop also sells folk art items. The tiny museum that completes the display houses artifacts such as diving aids, jewelry, weapons and coffee pots.
There are no restrictions on photography here.
The best day to visit is Friday, when a small bazaar is in full swing in the village, where you can buy souvenirs, listen to musicians and watch the training of hunting falcons.

Heritage Park is located on the Corniche towards the Port and the Fish Market, there are specially adapted barbecue places for everyone - a pleasant green corner in the stone jungle of Abu Dhabi. You can combine a visit to the Fish Market (the assortment of fish is huge, especially in the morning) and self-cooking fresh fish right in this park - convenient, pleasant, beautiful and expedient.

A visit to the heritage village was part of the Abu Dhabi sightseeing tour. All of the above is there, but to be honest, there is nothing special to watch. The huts in which the Bedouin lived in the desert, with a bed on the sand and an air conditioner on a wicker wall))) All this is surrounded by a wicker fence so that a neighbor or a prying eye cannot see women who are busy with housework or baking cakes (houses with an open face but wearing a hijab). One lonely camel stood. The rest of the buildings on the territory are more of a museum type made of stone.
