The Hundertwasser House is a residential building in Vienna distinguished by its unusual architecture. The house was built in 1983-1986 by the Austrian architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser. The facade of the house is made in the form of terraces, the roof and some rooms are planted with greenery, and each apartment is painted in its own color. In total, the house consists of 52 apartments, 4 offices, 16 private and 3 common terraces.

If there is time
Unusual structure, especially for Vienna. The imagination is not amazing, but in general, for a change, you can visit. The surrounding area is quite pleasant for walking. Nice cafe in the house→

For lovers of unusual architecture
The first time I saw this original house was as part of a sightseeing tour with a bus tour. And without hurrying, I managed to consider this unusual place again when I arrived by car with friends. If you are on your own in Vienna, take a walk, it won’t take much time, but it’s worth seeing how the city and nature are connected.→

Modern vision of architecture
If you have already visited all the main Vienna museums and sights, then visit this unusual place in Vienna. Of course, this is not Gaudi, but it is worth taking a look at it, because it is a modern vision of architecture and style from Hundertwasser. And if you are nearby - go to the souvenir shop and the toilet, it is very original and designed in the general style. You can easily get to this house if you take the 1st tram from the Opera which goes towards the Town Hall.→
