The Land Conquering Austria Fountain is part of the sculptural composition at the entrance to the Hofburg palace. Together with another fountain, "Austria Conquering the Sea", it forms a single architectural ensemble. The fountain was opened in 1897 and symbolizes the golden age of the empire, when Austria was one of the world's leading powers.

The second of a pair of fountains glorifying the greatness of Austria. The author of the fountain, which symbolizes the domination of the Austro-Hungarian Empire on land - sculptor Edmunt Hellmer. The fountain was installed in 1897.
