The National Gallery in Prague is an art gallery. Formed in 1949. The gallery buildings are located in several places in the city. The largest is the Palace of Exhibitions.

The gallery's collection is housed in several buildings: St. Agnes of Czech - medieval art of Bohemia and central Europe; Monastery of St. George - baroque painting of the 17th-18th centuries, the work of the mannerists from the time of Rudolf II; Kinsky Palace - Czech landscapes of the 17th-20th centuries; Sternberg Palace - European art from Antiquity to the Baroque era; Exhibition Palace - art from the 19th century to the present day; Prague Castle Equestrian Center and Waldstein Riding School - changing exhibitions; House "At the Black Madonna" - a museum of Czech cubism; Zbraslav Castle is a collection of Asian art (China, Japan, India, Southeast Asia, Tibet, the Middle East).

Building with beautiful architecture. The largest museum in the Czech Republic. Compared to other buildings on the square, it has a less masterpiece look.

In this museum, you will have a great opportunity to see the paintings of talented artists of the 20th century and learn more about them. The gallery contains a huge number of paintings not only by Czech artists, but also by French and Spanish 18-19 centuries. Among them are paintings by Degas, Braque, Miro, Picasso and Van Gogh. The museum also has a collection of contemporary art. The most interesting for me were the works of Alphonse Mucha, as well as the temporary exhibition of Kokoschka. The layout of the building is very interesting - although the facade seems quite simple, the interior of the museum is quite modernized.

I put 5, because the palace building itself is modern, and the permanent exhibitions did not interest me very much (obviously after Paris, Dresden, Amsterdam, Florence, Rome) And I visited it, because at that moment (that's how lucky I was) there was an exhibition "Slavic epics" by Alfons Mucha (whenever I got to Moravsky Krumlov). So, before the trip, look on their website for what they currently represent. A tram runs from the center, stopping near the palace.
