Lake Königssee

Lake Königssee is located in the southeastern part of Bavaria, within the National Park Berchtesgaden. The lake is surrounded on all sides by mountains, striking with its incredible views and the immensity of the water. This is the cleanest lake in Germany, since 1909 only boats with electric motors, pedal drive or rowing boats are allowed here. In the vicinity of the lake is the Catholic Church of St. Bartholomew and the statue of John of Nepomuk.
