The Gefeon Fountain was presented to the city by the Carlsberg brewery in honor of its 50th anniversary. The first launch of the fountain dates back to 1908. Address: Nordre Toldbod, 15. The sculptor Bungaard was inspired to create the fountain by an old legend, according to which the goddess Gefion was promised all the lands that she could plow in one night. Then the goddess turned her four sons into bulls and plowed a vast territory from sea to sea, which later became the territory of Denmark.
