Poblet Monastery is a Cistercian monastery founded in 1151. One of the largest monasteries in Spain is located in the Conca de Barbera region of Catalonia. Founded in the valley of the Francoli River by Ramon Berenguer IV, who liberated Catalonia from the rule of the Moors.

The monastery contains a fortified royal residence and the pantheon of the royal house of Aragon, starting with Jaime I of Aragon. In 1835 the monastery was abandoned, restored only in the 1930s. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991.
