Széchenyi Bath

Széchenyi gyógyfurdő, Széchenyi Thermal Bath and Swimming Pool
Hungary, Budapest
The Szechenyi Bath is the largest bathing complex in Europe, built in 1909-1913. The building is made mainly in the neo-Renaissance style, the south-eastern facade overlooking the City Garden was erected in the style of classicism. The bath is decorated with a huge number of sculptures dedicated to the marine theme and has a mirror structure. The bathing complex consists of three external and fifteen internal pools. Thermal water contains sodium and a large amount of fluorine, and the medicinal water of the drinking well is recommended for people suffering from joint diseases. It also provides beauty services, a day balneary.

Beautiful architecture, various pools - it's attractive, but a huge number of people who spend different procedures with you in the same water ...Somehow we are not used to it.

I do not have a special love for crowded places, but nevertheless, I could not visit Szé chenyi, being in Budapest. The complex has quite a few pools with water of different saturation and temperature. The system of walkways, changing rooms, lockers and pools is a little confusing, designed for a large flow of people. You can swim outside in any weather - just run from the locker room and take a dip. The water here is very warm, with a specific smell. The number of people in the territory - as lucky.

We were in Budapest as part of the tour of Europe "Magnificent Europe" from the Accord-Tour Company and Budapest was the first city on the tour. Delightful emotions were left from a sightseeing tour of Budapest, an excursion to the Buddha Hill with a visit to the Marzipan Museum. But most of all I remember the Szechenyi Baths, they helped relieve tension after a night crossing across the border of Ukraine and Hungary. I had a small wound on my arm, so after swimming in thermal springs, it disappeared in 2 days, a truly magical water, even taking into account that we swam in the open air and it was 2 degrees of frost on the streets.
