Church of the Gesu Nuovo

Chiesa di Gesu Nuovo
Italy, Naples
The Gesu Nuovo Church is located in Gesu Nuovo Square, south of the National Archaeological Museum. This is a functioning Catholic cathedral, it was built in the 16th century. The church has an unusual appearance: it is decorated with faceted stones in the form of pyramids. The relics of the Catholic saint Giuseppe Moscati are buried in Gesu Novo, and there is also a museum at the church.

You will not be indifferent to the facade of this church, converted from a Renaissance palazzo. Look inside for 10 minutes. Here lie the remains of the Neapolitan physician St. Giuseppe Moscati.
