The ancient city of Angkor was founded over 900 years ago. His greatness still amazes today. This is an immortal monument of history and architecture, the legacy of the Khmer Empire. Angkor is located north of Tonle Sap Lake and south of the Kulen Mountains, not far from the modern city of Siem Reap, and includes a huge number of temples. The main and central is Angkor Wat. It was built first. During its construction, miracles of engineering were shown, which made it possible to withstand a huge stone structure in a swampy area for almost a thousand years.
