Monte Carlo urban circuit

Circuit de Monaco
Monaco, Monaco
The Monte-Carlo urban circuit is a circuit laid on public roads and used for the Formula 1 World Championship. The first Grand Prix was held here in 1929, since 1950 the track has been used annually. This route has both the slowest corner and the fastest one, which the drivers pass at a speed of 260 km/h. On the Monte Carlo track it is extremely difficult to overtake the enemy, so the driver's skill plays a decisive role in the race.

From the Casino in Monte Carlo, I headed along the Formula 1 race track to the rocky promontory, on which the Grimaldi Palace, the Oceanographic Museum, and the Exotic Gardens are located. The history of today's famous motor racing began in 1929, but competitions have been held here before. I knew the track and Russian cars - Tsarist Russia, not Soviet ones! More than a hundred years ago, shortly before the First World War, the Russian car Russo-Balt C24 / 30 took part in the Monte Carlo rally. The sports version of the car was called "Monaco".
