The museum was opened on May 20, 1936, and is dedicated to three polar expeditions on board the Fram expeditionary ship, which is the main exhibit. The museum contains records of travelers, ship models, as well as stuffed polar bears and penguins.

The museum exhibits the ship Fram, on which Roald Amundsen cut through the polar waters, which you can walk around and see inside. Plus, there are many interesting exhibits (ship life, equipment used) and history, for example, the conquest of the South Pole with details of the organization of the campaign, etc. Very informative and interesting for those who are not indifferent to history and geography.
