The Đerdap National Park is located on the mountain slopes in the eastern part of Serbia, in the Branicev and Bor districts. The park stretches for almost 100 km along the Danube River and covers an area of ​​about 94 thousand hectares. The flora of the park is represented by a huge number of relic plant species. Here you can meet bears and lynxes, wolves and owls, black storks and many other animals. A large number of caves are concentrated in the reserves, there are more than 110 of them. Also on the territory of the Djerdap National Park are the ancient Golubac fortress and the longest bridge of antiquity - the Trajan's Bridge.

Djerdap is a national park in Serbia. The place is unique for the traveler, because at one point you can see not only amazing nature, but also see a few more sights. The border between Romania and Serbia runs along the Danube. But the main thing is not even this, it is more interesting that the Balkans and the Carpathians meet in this place. If the Romanian coast is the Carpathians, then the Serbian coast is the Balkans. But that's not all. Here, these mountain systems come so close to each other that the place itself was called the “Iron Gate” by the Romanians.
