A small, but beloved by the Petersburgers, the monument to Chizhik-Pyzhik was erected relatively recently - in 1994, on the embankment of the Fontanka River near the 1st Inzhenerny Bridge. The monument is an 11-centimeter figurine of the Chizh bird perched on the wall of the above-mentioned bridge. The authors of this work are the famous Georgian artist and film director Rezo Gabriadze and sculptor Vyacheslav Bukhaev. According to legend, if you make a wish and hit the pedestal of the statue with a coin, then it will certainly come true.
