Monastery in honor of the Holy Royal Passion-Bearers in the tract Ganina Yama

Monastery of the Holy Royal Passion-Bearers
russia, Yekaterinburg
The male Orthodox monastery of the Holy Royal Passion-Bearers, one of the youngest in Russia, was founded on October 1, 2000 at Ganina Yama, an abandoned iron ore mine near Yekaterinburg. Here miraculously preserved remains of members of the royal family killed in July 1918, their close associates, a servant and a doctor were discovered.
There are 7 active temples in the monastery - according to the number of members of the royal family. Also on the territory there is the governor's house, a refectory for pilgrims, a bell tower, a small museum of the monastery, a church shop, 3 monuments: to Emperor Nicholas II, Empress Alexandra Feodorovna and the royal children. The wooden bell tower, 30 meters high, with 9 bells, was built in 2003; under the bell tower there is a consecrated spring with "Royal Water".
Above shaft No. 7, where the remains of the royal family were found, rises a bow (royal) four-meter cross made of bog oak, around which the brethren of the monastery make a penitential procession every evening. Shrines are kept in the monastery: a cross-reliquary with particles of the relics of forty saints of God, icons, a particle of the relics of St. Equal-to-the-Apostles Mary Magdalene.
