Mon Repos is a state historical, architectural and natural museum-reserve in the northwestern part of Tverdysh Island in the Vyborg Bay in the Leningrad Region. Established in 1988 on the lands of the former estate of barons Nicolai, it occupies an area of more than 161 hectares. The basis of the museum-reserve is a manor and park ensemble of the late 18th - early 19th centuries with the main estate (1804) and a library wing and a landscape rocky park - a unique monument of landscape gardening art with park gates, Chinese bridges, columns of Paul I and Alexander I , a tea arbor, a healing radon source.
The historical part of the park turns into a forested area with unique stone heaps of the ice age, reaching a height of 20 m. In the northern part of the estate, not far from the coast, there is the island of Ludwigstein or the "Isle of the Dead", where you can see the grotto of Medusa, the Ludwigsburg chapel, the necropolis of the Nikolai family , Gate, Old Pier And Stone Stairs.

Rock-landscape Mon Repos park is great for walking and contemplating nature. Typical Karelian views look great in the photo. Located just 5 min. drive from the center of Vyborg. I recommend visiting in the summer.
