Mount Jabal al-Nur with a height of 621 m is 3.2 km away. from Mecca and 4 km. from the Kaaba. Its name in Arabic means "Mountain of Light". It is a sacred place for Muslims, because on its slope is Hira Cave, where, according to legend, the prophet Muhammad received the first revelation from Allah.
