Mosque of Murat Pasha

Murat Pasa Mosque

An Ottoman mosque commissioned by Grand Vizier Murat Pasha in 1570. The decagonal frame is crowned with a high dome, the inscriptions completely cover the inner walls and the outer facade, like ribbons, presenting a skillful example of the artistic calligraphy of the Turks and Seljuks.
