The monument to Sergei Bubka is located in the city center near the regional sports complex "Olympic". It was opened on August 29, 1999. On a pedestal 6 meters 15 centimeters high (the world record of Sergei Bubka) stands an athlete preparing to jump with a pole, near which a swallow flies. The monument is also unique in that few athletes have been awarded the honor of opening the monument during their lifetime.
