The quarry of the Southern Mining and Processing Plant is one of the largest in the world - an industrial tourism attraction in Krivoy Rog. The quarry where iron ore is mined is over 3 km long and 2.5 km wide, reaching a depth of 400 m. Several thousand people come to the quarry every year to tour the quarry. A specially equipped observation deck offers a stunning panoramic view of the quarry with its 25 horizons. Access to the observation deck is carried out with passes issued by the YuGOK management.

Striking in size
Was in Krivoy Rog on an excursion. The impressions will stay with me for a long time. The quarry is striking in its scale, as well as the technique with which ore is mined. In general, if you have the opportunity to visit - you will not regret it!→

Suddenly!
To be honest, I went to Krivoy Rog for show, but ended up on the most interesting excursion! The quarry is striking in size both in breadth and depth. Huge cars and trains work inside! In addition to the quarry, it is worth visiting the old mines, the Arcelor plant, red lakes, dumps, the Yukoga museum, and the open-air museum of technology. It turns out that Krivoy Rog is included in the list of objects for industrial tourism in Europe and there are more and more foreign tourists here every year.→
