Lviv is one of the most beautiful cities in Ukraine, if not the most, and there are enough interesting places, but on one of our visits to Lviv, we decided to visit Shevchenkovsky Hay and did not regret the time spent. The Museum of Folk Architecture "Shevchenkovsky Hai" or "Skansen" rightfully bears the title of one of the main, although far from the most famous, sights of Lviv. There is an extensive collection of ancient buildings and structures of various regions of Western Ukraine. The museum is compactly located on a relatively small area, unlike the same Pirogovo in Kyiv, and takes at least the second place in size, and even the first place in terms of the number of exhibits (and everything is original). Being on the hills, in a wooded area, the museum quite plausibly conveys the atmosphere of the Carpathians and other regions of western Ukraine.
The museum hosts a variety of master classes that will be of interest to both adults and children. In other words, there is where to walk and what to see. Given all this, set aside at least a few hours of your time and visit this museum. You will not regret. We really liked it, moreover, this is not the first museum of such a plan that we visited, but were also in Pirogovo (Kyiv) and Uzhgorod. Recommendation: wear comfortable shoes and take a supply of water with you (especially important in hot weather). At the entrance you are given a small map, so with a little sense of direction you can easily get around the entire territory. Keep in mind that this is an open-air museum of architecture, which conveys the life of those days as realistically as possible, so that asphalt paths and. etc. is not provided, which makes visiting the museum a little difficult after or during rain.
