I was going to Soledar for a long time, but it didn’t work out. I decided on a trip literally today for tomorrow and did not regret it. The road is very picturesque: fields, forests, small towns and villages.
Soledar himself did not make an impression at first: the territory is neat, but nothing interesting. We were given a safety briefing, we were given helmets, and the descent on the miner's elevator began. For some reason, we were driving in complete darkness, but this created a feeling of something unusual. The mine itself struck with its size: high ceilings, wide corridors. The air is fresh but pleasant, the temperature is about 14 degrees. It is better to take a sweater with you, otherwise by the end of the tour I was a little cold.
The guide was young, but with a well-delivered speech. I was pleasantly surprised by the opportunity to drink tea at a depth of 300 m, listen to music and watch a film about the mine. The ascent back passed already with lighting.
The temperature contrast became even more noticeable after the "return" to the surface. +35 outside. The tour is interesting, it is definitely worth seeing the salt cave with your own eyes at least once.
