The monument was opened on September 1.2012. Bogdan Lyuklyan from Sumy became the author of the project. The height of the sculpture is 1.8 m. The monument is made of bronze using the wax casting method by Kharkov craftsmen. The monument has two traditions. A bad tradition is that the microphone is periodically stolen from the "jolly sumchanin", which then has to be restored. A good tradition, or rather belief, is due to the fact that if you take a picture at the monument and put a note with your desire in his pocket, then it will certainly come true.
