Underground submarine base (object 825) in Balaklava (Sevastopol). - construction began in 1957, completed in 1961 - first built by the military, then Moscow, Tbilisi and Kharkov metro builders joined - plant and arsenal anti-nuclear shelter of the first category for 3000 people and an autonomy of 30 days - The thickness of the rocky soil above the object is 126 meters at the highest point - in shelter mode, 9 (8 + one in the dock) boats of project 613 and 633 were based in the canal - Canal length 505m; water surface width from 6 to 8.5; depth from 6 to 8.5 - the complex was abandoned in 1995, the museum was opened on Chervnya 3 (June), 2003 - the plant and the mine-torpedo unit are closed for visiting.

Being in the most beautiful place of the peninsula - Balaklava, this museum is definitely worth a visit. Being inside, you are filled with the atmosphere of that time. A chill pierces you, listening to the stories of the guide. After visiting this place, you will be satisfied and learn a lot of new things.

The brightest example of how you can spoil the most beautiful place, swell tons of people's money, for the sake of paranoid ideas and idiotic ambitions. Brrr!
