A swimming pool with healing thermal water is located on the territory of the Recreational base "Transcarpathia". The length of the outdoor sports-type pool is 50 m, and the water temperature in it is +35 degrees. Hot thermal water is extracted from a well at a depth of 1100 m, it is rich in sodium chloride salts and other trace elements that contribute to the treatment of the musculoskeletal system, nervous system, skin and other diseases.
The base complex also includes Russian and Finnish saunas, a cafe and a hotel. The conditions and service at the Zakarpattya base are very simple (lockers without locks, no hair dryers), and repairs have not been carried out there since Soviet times, however, the healing properties of its thermal waters can hardly be overestimated - they are really unique and effective.
Since 2011, another thermal pool has been operating in Beregovo - Zhayvoronok. The conditions here are better than in Transcarpathia, but the cost of visiting is higher.
