The Kennedy Center is located on the banks of the Potomac River northwest of the Washington Monument. It was founded in 1971. The theater complex includes the Concert Hall, the Eisenhower Theatre, the Family Theatre, the KS Jazz Club, the Opera House, the Open Theater and the Theater Laboratory. Kennedy Center is the heart of the cultural life of the capital.
