Good day to all! We are a young couple, in August we are going to go to Greece for the first time .. We deliberately do not consider the islands because we want to see the sights. Help with the choice. I would like to lie in the sun, swim in the clear sea, sandy beach, beautiful landscapes (well, very beautiful), and travel on excursions. I read that it’s very far to travel from the resorts of Halkidik for all excursions, but it’s beautiful there. Is it so? Is the Peloponnese inferior in beauty? Since we are a young couple, we would like the presence of bars and a couple of discos. Tell me where exactly in the Peloponnese you can actively and have fun? There is relatively little information on the Internet about the resorts of this peninsula. For a long time I can not decide where it is better to go.

The beauty of Halkidiki is very much inferior to the Peloponnese! There are no sights in Halkidiki, Mystras, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Olympia, Corinth, Namfplin, Athens, Lavrion, Sounion is the Peloponnese. Delphi almost. Halkidiki is just sandy beaches and hotels promoted by travel agencies "under Turkey". There is Athos, but women will not get there, and men need to try - they have their own visa, you need to follow a lifestyle, etc. The Peloponnese is the mountains that start right out of the s ... I'm going on vacation in August, I really want to go to the islands of Greece, but I just can't choose. I would like everything in one bottle-rest, entertainment, excursions. I don't know about hotels either. Which is better: in the city, not far from it, or some isolated watch? And most importantly, which tour operator to go?

It is best to go by yourself and probably to Crete, although Rhodes is also not bad there and there is something to see and the beaches are super and the nightlife in general is in abundance. Here are the hotels in Crete www.crete-hotels.us Rhodes www.rhodes-hotels.us Thank God, now they give a visa without any problems Farther...
Good day to all! We are going to Crete as a family in June 2013 with children (5 and 11 years old). Among other excursions we want to visit the island of Santorini. I want to ask advice from "experienced" travelers: how best to prepare for the excursion, does it shake a lot on the boat, maybe it's better to give the children some drugs for motion sickness before the trip, go on an excursion on their own or with a tour operator, what to bring as souvenirs ??? In general, we are interested in any nuances, one way or another connected with a trip to Santorini with children. Thanks in advance for the information.

In Crete, I strongly advise you to take an excursion to Santorini, if finances allow, then for 2 days, since there is a catastrophically little time for a one-day trip. 1 day costs 90 euros - street agencies (2013 prices) from operators about 160 euros. Personally, I really liked the excursion to the island of Spinalonga. Excursion to the Palace of Knossos is pointless, does not make any impression, as well as the Cretan evening, money thrown away. Another of the standing ones is Balous Bay - th ... Farther...
Hello! I really want to go to Greece in the town of Nafplion / Tolo (nom. Argolis). As far as I know, tour operators do not particularly practice this direction. But planning, booking, etc. I don't know how and I don't have time for it. If anyone had a rest in the aforementioned place, using the services of THEN, PLEASE RESPOND!!! I can't find any offer from SPB...(( PS: Maybe I'm blind))

Good afternoon, we are going with friends to go to Greece in September. We don't know where to go. We are three girls, 23 years old. We are going for a week, we want to swim in the sea, a beautiful beach, visit several excursions, in a word, a combined vacation. Please tell me - where to go to rest in Greece for the first time, and what excursions to visit, it is desirable that they be near the hotel (or relatively close) We think to save a little on the hotel, but visit interesting places

Be sure to visit Meteora - "hanging" monasteries, high in the mountains. Athens. It's not far, but it's worth it! Excursion to Mount Olympus. If the above seems boring for 11 years old, then I recommend taking a trip on a yacht and visiting a water park near Thessaloniki. Farther...

I am sure that Kefalonia is a beautiful island and Myrtos beach is a heavenly place. But I could still express my opinion. And maybe it will help someone. Here is a tiny nameless beach on Zakynthos. There are no people at all. On the left is a boat with a powerful motor, which cost me less than a trip to Kefalonia. (Plus 40 minutes lecture on safety of navigation.) Well, by God, this is at least no worse than what we are discussing here. Farther...
