only yesterday returned from St. Petersburg, lived in Okhtinskaya. The overall impression of the trip is very positive! From the hotel, too, but I will honestly describe both the pros and cons. Standart room:
+ Our windows and balcony overlooked the Neva, the view is awesome both during the day and in the evening. you can see the cathedral, the bridge at a glance. the only pity is that during our stay it was under reconstruction, there was no beautiful night lighting.
+ Towels changed regularly, room cleaned. The staff is friendly, especially the front desk.
+ good breakfast. you can choose what you want more - dairy, salads or pastries))
+ there are many 24-hour grocery stores nearby on the next street. we liked "Polushka", very tasty dairy products Big mug, St. Petersburg and Khmelnoy honey))

- the same breakfast from day to day is the same in composition. I would love to have some variety. for a week only 1 time there were broccoli for a side dish, the rest of the days the potatoes were either french fries or cutlets.
- the condition of the rooms leaves much to be desired, there was no repair for 5 years for sure. dirty walls, slightly smoked in some places. we didn’t worry much about this, it’s not all the time to look at these walls, but cosmetic repairs are highly desirable.
- VERY inconvenient location of outlets! there are only 3 of them. and they are either hidden behind the bed or table, or next to the mini-bar, which we used as a mini-fridge. the socket in the bathroom, designed for a hair dryer (girls, attention! ), Could not master my simple hair dryer. not wanting to lose the technique, she went to dry herself in the mini-bar outlet. and there. . .
- another significant minus, the girls will understand me. the lighting in the room itself is represented by a weak round lamp above the bed. in such a light, putting on makeup by the mirror is simply unrealistic, it is in the corner by the balcony door, the light falls there only slightly. the lamps standing on the bedside tables would hardly have been a help, because there was simply nowhere to connect them (let me remind you about sockets). Who designed these numbers, his hands would be twisted, honestly.
As for the rest, I can say that on the next trip we might choose Okhtinskaya, the view is already very mesmerizing)) and the fact that there is no metro nearby is completely compensated by regular buses))
