My husband and I decided to visit the ancient city of Smolensk on vacation. The history of the city is rich, Askold and Dir sailed by, drove Napoleon, the Germans, again....We decided to look. I will not write about the city itself, but if anyone has any questions, I will answer. Let me just say that there is still a lot that can and should be done in the city to make it attractive to tourists. And there is something to see there. We stayed at the Usadba Hotel, we booked a room in advance. Firstly, it's more like a mini-hotel, there are only 12 rooms. It is located in the historical center of the city, on a quiet and green street, which makes absolutely all sights accessible in a matter of minutes. All rooms are very cozy and comfortable. (I peeped into the open while cleaning). By the way, the rooms are cleaned daily. Everywhere renovated. New beautiful furniture. The rooms have a safe, air conditioning, mini-bar (very not expensive). Nice big bathroom. The hotel has a sauna and a restaurant. You can buy souvenirs, information booklets, a map of the city. Book a tour guide. Breakfasts are included in the room rate. But what a breakfast! Four courses of meals upon reservation. Everything is very delicious. We had no issues with food in Smolensk. For lunch we returned to the hotel. Cozy restaurant, beautiful interior, delicious food. At St. Petersburg prices is not very expensive. Dinner for two cost us 1600 rubles. At the same time, almost all dishes are author's, unusual. Portions are huge. Tiramisu deserves special memories. The portion of the Italian dessert that we were served could be safely divided into four, everyone would have eaten. True, normal people don't eat that much.
The hotel is non-smoking, and this is perhaps the only drawback for smoking guests.
In a word, I really liked the hotel. If I ever find myself in Smolensk, I will definitely stop at Usadba
