Because of the holidays, normal hotels in Smolensk itself were sold out long ago, so they checked into a hotel in the suburbs - Pechersk. From him to Smolensk by car about fifteen minutes, and with the cost of a taxi to the city of 200 rubles, this distance did not play a role at all.
An important detail - there is no elevator, only stairs, it will be inconvenient with luggage. Standard rooms are small but with comfortable beds and showers. Perhaps a hair dryer and a wardrobe could have been added, but for a short stay this is not critical. But with improved rooms it's worse. There is also no wardrobe, but there is a hair dryer (not working) and a shower without a shower cabin or any other fences. Water is flying all over the bathroom. By the way, when there are a lot of guests, there are problems with pressure and water temperature control.
There is a good restaurant on the first floor of the hotel. At dinner, everything was delicious, at breakfast they generally feed like a slaughter.

I can’t rate the cleaning in the room, because the rooms were not cleaned at all! But the next morning we were checking out, and it was already too lazy to find out what circumstances prevented the cleaning.
