Just returned from that hotel, rested 8 days. In general, the impression is good from the hotel and from the rest in Slovenia. Now more.
I have something to compare with, I travel a lot and have seen a lot on different continents.
The hotel really corresponds to a very strong European trio, moreover, if you add refrigerators and mini-bars to the rooms, then it could well be a four-star hotel. In 2008, a complete reconstruction was made, all rooms are equipped with central air conditioning, TV - LCD panel, new furniture, clean tidy bathrooms. The rooms were cleaned every day and quite decently performed in the morning. Towels were changed every day, linen - on request, shower gel, hats, soap - in the shower room left every day as needed. The hotel has its own swimming pool with a bath complex, there is a massage room. Entrance to the indoor pool is free of charge - massage and baths - for an additional fee. There is a children's playroom, some rooms - with balconies (balcony - extra charge).

The hotel is part of the Metropol complex, and it is located much more conveniently than their five-star Metropol hotel. From Lucia to the coast and the beach - 2 minutes on foot, the Metropol is located on the mountain much further and the climb up the mountain is tiring. For the first time I see that the three is more conveniently located than the five. For the whole complex there is a closed area by the sea with three pools of different sizes with sea water, admission is free, sunbed - 4 euros per day, umbrella - 3 euros.
For the whole complex there is a covered garage, there is enough space for everyone. The advantage of the car is the opportunity to see all the surroundings, very nice towns on the coast, we also went to Venice by car.
I liked the very organization of the city - there is a promenade, an alley for walking, many restaurants and cafes, which makes the rest varied and not boring. This is a full-fledged European country and the rest is appropriate, the local population and staff make a good impression - they are very hospitable, cheerful, they speak different languages. The service is good and not intrusive.
Separately about food. Breakfast at the hotel is standard European (i. e. do not expect a wide variety of breakfast), I would advise you to refuse lunch and dinner - it is better and more interesting to eat on the coast, it will not be more expensive, but you will not be tied to a place and try different cuisines . The restaurants are very sincere, they cook tasty and high quality, there is a lot of seafood, the waiters speak different languages, they try very hard and sincerely enjoy the tip.
I booked the Lucia Hotel directly through the hotel website, I didn’t pay anything in advance, I paid only when I was already leaving. The staff at the hotel are attentive and welcoming. I can especially recommend accommodation in Lucia to families with children, for children there are chairs in the restaurant, a playroom, and special suites.
