A few questions.
We will be in transit at this hotel /2 days/. Tell me which shopping centers are located nearby, within walking distance. And where can you go? I would like to buy leather bags, belts, some Thai natural cosmetics, some clothes. Recommend another nearby market where you can buy fruit to go.

Look at the Google map, from your hotel the direction is northwest, CentralWold. Focusing on the location of the hotels where we have been, I think that there is a twenty-minute walk there. Along the avenue (?) of Rama I, although it seemed to me that the fourth. This is the subway line. A pedestrian bridge begins there, thrown between the main shopping centers, Central, Paragon and MBK (it seems so), you won’t pass by. Pleasure to walk over the avenue, over all the traffic jams, we note, under the roof, that is, the sun does not bake.

There is also BigCi, the sign is huge, you can walk along the fruits there, but we met them in the evening just on the street near Central.
It's all about walking distance.
I also recommend taking a walk around Chaopray in the evening with dinner, a buffet, boats depart from the pier near something nice and shopping too.

We liked 2 shopping centers most of all - MBK and Platinum, in Platinum for every taste and wallet and leather and clothes, you need to bargain and you can. But we got there by taxi from their hotel :)

Oksana, if you were taken to MBK and Platinum, tell me, are they nearby? It just seems to me that I saw the Platinum sign, but we didn’t go there. If nearby, then everything is in order, you can get there. Moreover, I have the impression that traveling around Bangkok is much longer in time, traffic jams are wonderful there! Unfortunately, the metro has not been mastered yet, we will definitely try it in due course.

they are not quite close, MBK is near Siam, and Platinum is closer to Indra and Bayok sky. To be honest, even with a map it was difficult to navigate the streets of Bangkok. We went by taxi.

Yep, got Platinum! Elki, we always ran past him, since we were based most often in Bayoki. Never came, dudes :)
By the way, for orientation on the ground it is very useful to climb Bayok-sky once, the main "points" are very clearly visible there. And this can be done without even contacting the guides. The entrance fee is in the hundreds, and you are entitled to a free drink. I'm not too fond of heights, I was soothed with Bacardi rum after visiting the observation deck. Since then, a protective glass has been installed on the site, it’s not so scary anymore;))

In general, we can advise: take a taxi to Bayok-Skaya, and there already "down the map", direction south, comb everything that gets in the way, then turn right (after Central) and stomp along the bridge to MBK. Relax in the cool shops.

By the way, for lovers of heights - a stunned Sky bar on the 64th floor in the Lebua hotel, admission is free, the view of the BC is amazing. True, the drinks are expensive and they don’t let you take pictures, but there will be a lot of emotions.

I wouldn’t buy tickets from the guides either - there are a lot of groups in the evening and I can imagine the crush ... We were in the afternoon, the entrance was 300 baht, the people were single tourists, walk and enjoy.

Nothing so prices went up!
We stopped once in Bayok Sky, had breakfast, of course, the food is varied, but not stunning. As practice shows, it means that there is no point in going there for dinner
