I was in Thailand in February 2017. I chose accommodation in Ambassador City (Pattaya) - 1 line with its own beach. And now I'll tell you what I'm dissatisfied with: 1) We stood for 2 hours in line for a visa. There were a lot of people, and there were few windows for selling visas. Take money for a visa with you right away - 1000 (and from 02/28/2017.2000 baht, so as not to stand in line at the exchange office. Through the application "CHANGED" I bought baht in Kyiv. 2) When buying a ticket, they did not warn that a 4 x 6 photo is needed for a visa. 3) Everywhere in this country, the ticket includes ONLY breakfast (the choice of dishes is sufficient). But one breakfast is not enough for the whole day, so I spent a lot of time to find vegan food. The choice is very small (coleslaw, rice, potatoes and fresh juices). Fortunately, there are a lot of different fruits. But I'm not a fruit eater yet. In all other dishes, either meat or seafood. 4) Almost the entire coast in Pattaya has a dirty sea. You can go to places where the water is cleaner, but you have to get up early and pay a minimum of 100 baht ($3). 5) When checking into a hotel, they take a deposit (minimum $ 100). The agency did not mention this. If something is broken in the room, the cost will be deducted upon departure. 6) At the reception, Thais understand little Russian, despite the fact that 2/3 of the tourists in the Ambassador speak Russian. 7) The sand on the beach is dirty, there are no umbrellas, sunbeds (there are only fabric chairs). At the pool, where there are umbrellas and sun loungers, places are taken early in the morning. At 10 o'clock it is unrealistic to find a civilized place somewhere, all that remains is to lie on the sand on a towel under the scorching sun. At lunch time, many leave, and leave their things on the sunbeds. Half a day the sunbed is empty, and in the evening they come and just pick up their belongings. And I myself do not din, and I will not give to another. 8) Inflated prices for the proposed excursions by the operator. Yes, a clean beach with yellow sand and clear water, but $ 150 for TWO days on the island is EXPENSIVE. 9) And in general, unrealistically high prices for EVERYTHING (from beach slippers to local fruits). 10) At the airport in Bangkok, in addition to water, they PERMANENTLY took away the POWER BANK (mobile charger).
Therefore, everyone who wants to just relax comfortably, swim in the clear sea, not bother with food, quickly go through all the services when entering the country, see the grateful smiles of local residents, go to Egypt !! ! You will not regret!! ! For the money that was spent on Thailand, I could go to Egypt 4 times (for the same number of nights). Impressive???
All wise decisions!
