In March 2016, my family and I (me, husband and 14-year-old daughter) rested in our beloved Thailand for the third time (before that we were on Koh Samui and in the city of Hua Hin). In general, they were not going to Phuket, because they heard that it was noisy and dirty there. Everything turned out by chance, the travel company "Universal Holidays" celebrated the anniversary of the opening of an office in Tyumen, and we won a certificate for a week of accommodation at the Baan Yamu residence in Phuket. The husband said: “7 hours to fly to only 7 days to rest? ? ". In general, we paid extra for another week and set off - quickly, before the rainy season began.

From the road, of course, hungry. (True, my daughter interrupted her appetite with fruits and sweets, which were included in the compliment from the hotel for newcomers). We went straight to the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised that the menu has different national cuisine. Thai and European - this is natural, but also Italian and even for some reason... Scandinavian!

After eating, we unpacked our suitcases and “shared” the bedrooms. The villa is simply huge - at a glance, 200 square meters, on two levels, so there was something to share. These spaces have all household appliances (except for a vacuum cleaner - it is not needed, as it was cleaned every day, and it was perfectly clean): a kettle, dishes, an umbrella, a hair dryer, a safe, a TV...

We went to inspect the area. The husband again issued an aphorism: "If Phuket is noisy and dirty, then we are not in Phuket. " Indeed, it was as if we were living in a tropical garden. Neat shrubs, a smooth lawn, and as we later realized - all this farming is watered several times a day - that's where such freshness comes from.

And the residence also had a swimming pool with a 50-meter walkway. We have only one such in Tyumen - for the entire city of 700.000. . .

The excursions that our guide offered us were the richest. In order not to describe everything, I will say that there were antiquities (Wat Chalong Temple), and boat trips (Phi Phi Islands) and shows “for adults” (Simon cabaret).

And now some tips that may be useful for those who arrive after us:

1. It’s better to start exploring Thailand from Phuket – we didn’t have enough exotic this time.

2. You need to clearly understand what you want from your vacation: after a year of work, a closed residence was the best gift for me and my husband, but my daughter was a little bored.

3. Immediately save money for a taxi to get to the center - shopping and other entertainment and back, there are no tuk-tuks in Baan Yam.

4. Do not save on excursions (even if they are not included in the package, as we did) - there is something to see in Phuket.

Overall impression: the best place to completely "fail" in the rest.
