is it $25 per nose for 1 day? Well, with a stretch, very very large. enough to eat.
аватар Rovno10
Well, if all 4 are on a diet, no alcohol (water is free at the hotel), no excursions. But then why fly to Thailand?
аватар Lina23S
If you eat in cheap cafes and near macarons and fruits at a minimum, then you can meet $ 15 per person per day, but this is very sad because you want to try a lot. Yes, and you want to go on excursions, because Tai is a country of movement; vacations there do not take place in a hotel like in Turkey or Egypt, the cheapest excursions are from $ 20 and more. In addition, expect that upon arrival at the hotel they take a deposit of $ 100, if you did not use the mini bar, telephone (intercity) and did not break anything, it will be returned to you only upon check-out from the hotel.

Well, let's be realistic. So: Breakfast, lunch and dinner in a macaron for 100 baht per person = 1200 baht per day. This is 38 dollars * 10 days = 380 dollars. Travel there / back 1 time per day for 20 baht * 4 people * 2 walks = 160 baht. 160 * 10 days = 1600 baht or 53 dollars. Fruits on the market for 40 baht / kg * 2 kg * 10 days = 800 baht or 25 dollars. Total: 460 dollars. The balance is $540. Not so little for Tai in terms of entertainment. So enough with your head. The main thing is to find out on the forum where, what, how much, so as not to get screwed !!! Good luck! :-)
аватар ernst_v
About the deposit nonsense! Maybe only in some hotels and there is.
аватар sigur62
It's better to save some money and go in a year. It is very sad to count the crumpled torn last bucks on vacation. This is not a vacation.
аватар Amir1
we have 1000 dollars. some tourists invested with a full package of excursions. Indeed, there were two of them. And they saved everything. On the last day, we, seeing that they wanted to eat, but there was no money for a normal dinner, treated them to dinner. Excursions cost 600 dollars with a ponytail. We ate at the hotel in a cafe where a serving of rice with shrimp costs 30 baht. Lunch was included on many excursions. They also drank beer. Sometimes they got carried away and spent too much money on it, which is why it was not enough for the last day. But it is better, of course, to take more.
аватар Pachok
We should clarify:
4 people of what composition - adults, children, men women? :)
Enough 1000 dollars. for what? Only food, only excursions? Food + excursions + accommodation + souvenirs?
We usually lay down for two (adults, not old) $ 100 per day with accommodation and transfers already paid. On some days more is spent, on some less, but on average it is. We do not infringe on ourselves in trips in a rented car, entrance tickets, food, fruits.
Souvenirs / junk - separately, you can’t spend more than 100 bucks on a standard set of souvenirs, and they refused to buy Thai junk a long time ago, it’s very lousy, if cheap, and very expensive, if not cheap :)
Expensive Thai cosmetics and jewelry with sapphires are also separate, it’s who has what requests, the budget can be endless :)

My husband and I are going to Tai (on Koh Chang) for 9 days there and we will be in Bangkok for 2 days, we plan to take $ 1000 ... but most likely it will be 800 .. we are adults, we will save nothing on something .. On the island we plan to take a motorbike and go around the whole island ourselves, as most do .. we are not interested in rags and stuff like that, well, maybe we’ll grab a stone of incredible beauty and a couple of Buddha figurines, and that’s all .. There are a lot of interesting things in Bangkok, that’s where we want to go on excursions, and we will master the island ourselves, but on the white sand we will enjoy ...
аватар Amir1
if you are on Koh Chang all the time, then it will definitely be enough. There's not much to see there. And lying on the beach is not expensive, only for food. It’s just a pity that you don’t understand what Tai is and why people are drawn here so much. After all, the island is only one palm tree on one beach. And there are so many interesting things...
аватар natka30
I agree with you, but it’s impossible to get everything at once .. my husband and I have been waiting for this trip since August, and only at the end of January it will take place, finally with my husband not to be alone, from the work of all problems and children ... on one. . as much as 11 days..
аватар Pachok
"well, maybe we'll grab a stone of incredible beauty and a couple of Buddha figurines"
Keep in mind that Buddha figurines are officially prohibited from being taken out of Thailand. I personally have not heard that someone was taken by the ass, but everything happens sometime for the first time :)
Do you have a tour ready or will you be in Bangkok yourself?
аватар Lina23S
But you can’t take out Buddha figurines, I wouldn’t risk it, there are 5 waterfalls on Koh Chang, two fishing villages, they were in one called Bang Bao, the village on the water is an interesting place, by the way there is one man who has two jewelry shops, he does it himself, some interesting creative stuff. There is also a Chinese temple that is quite pretty, but you need to think carefully about the bike, there are dangerous sections of the road over the cliffs and with a fake fence, bandaged tourists have also been seen.
аватар natka30
We have a combined tour ready... from January 27th to February 7th, the last 2 days in Bangkok. Thank you, I'll take into account the statuettes

аватар pavel16-
THERE WAS NO SUCH ANYWHERE
аватар Lina23S
Well, I don’t know, I’m going for the second time so I’ve already planned some excursions for $ 300 per person, but something tells me that I won’t stop there. At the expense of the airport, this can be seen by anyone who is lucky, I didn’t see anyone shmonat at all, maybe I just got lucky.
аватар natka30
pavel16, tell me, what excursions did you go on and where were you in Pattaya, Phuket or Bangkok?
аватар natka30
Good people, tell me the site on which the prices for excursions to Koh Chang and Bangkok are relevant !!!!!!! You are welcome...
аватар Lina23S
There are local excursions on Koh Chang, but in English, in Russian, Ilvis Tour has a price list, look on their website (the locals are 10-15% cheaper), in Bangkok, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the Royal Palace went on a tour with Ilvis, but we had a package tour and the tour was a gift, and then on our own along the canal by boat to Chinatown there is its own flavor, then by subway to Lumpini Park (to be honest, after the nature of the island was not impressed), and from there to subway to Bai Sky is a skyscraper on the roof of which a rotating observation deck, the view from it is especially impressive at sunset. We got hold of a map of Bangkok at the hotel reception, there was a metro map, the metro itself is a separate excursion. With a minimum knowledge of English, you can understand it.
аватар Pachok
natka30, if you are in Bangkok for the first time and on a package tour, then I think some excursions are included in your package. If you want additional ones, I would buy from my own guide if I were you. Prices can be found on your operator's website.
Once we were relaxing with my husband’s parents, it became necessary to send them on a tour, they don’t know English, they were afraid to move around Bangkok themselves, we contacted Ilves Tour and agreed by phone that the parents would come in the morning to a certain place, there they would be picked up by a tour bus , calculation on the spot. They were very pleased.
ZY Or, as Lina23S writes, with the map itself, after reading the Internet beforehand :)

I answer - we were - the river Kvai - 2800 rubles per person went for 2 days. the truth is an excursion on which you MUST go and plan immediately upon arrival in order to have time to plan all the excursions for your vacation (they took it on the street from your own more expensive).
nong nooch tropical garden 500 per person is also worth it.
Discovery tour 1300 for one-monkey(COOL) pineapple plantation zoo animal show etc
The rest were free-survey - they should not be neglected, just as very interesting - went to the crocodiles and the snake farm.
THE TRUTH SHOULD NOT BUY ANYTHING AT THE FACTORIES THERE UNDER THE PREFACE THAT EVERYTHING HERE IS 100 PERCENT. THE SAME PRODUCT IS CHEAPER IN THE CITY. ALTHOUGH T-SHIRTS IN KVAI WERE TAKEN FOR 80 RUBLES (GOOD QUALITY) AND IN THE CITY 100-120-150.
we went to Pattaya. doubted wanted to Phuket thought palm trees white sand, etc. but went to Pattaya and did not regret it. next time only there because in Phuket you will not see everything and the prices are more expensive. if it is possible to go through Bangkog (2 days usually there is a stop in Pattaya), I would go. - we were offered (2000 more) we refused, we regret it a little.
good luck ask if anything.

About 1200-1300 bucks was enough for my husband and I, despite the fact that in Pattaya we traveled a lot of excursions for which there was enough time, we ate in restaurants, I wouldn’t say that it was cheap, but basically it was dinner ... a lot of souvenirs were brought not needed)) on Koh Chang there was nowhere to spend money except for a massage, again, dinner (breakfasts were included, but I didn’t want to dine except for fruit) and several excursions, and in Bangkok we were on a bonus excursion and walked around like that, since there wasn’t much time, and after the island, I didn’t feel comfortable in Bangkok ...
аватар natka30
Thank you very much to everyone who responded, however, for your advice, I have 2 more months of time, I will study everything in more detail, I'm just sure that my husband and I will have a wonderful rest .. :-))))
аватар sigur62
So it will be. Tagil rules!
аватар natka30
Thank you

I asked Ilvis Tour for a price list for excursions in Bangkok and Koh Chang. Can you tell me if their prices are reasonable or more expensive than others???? I have only their price and nothing else, nothing to compare
аватар Lina23S
More expensive than local agencies, there were also local ones on Chang, but only with English-speaking guides, maybe where they are, but I didn’t find it. In Bangkok, for sure, there is, we just had an excursion as a bonus to the tour. Try to write a personal message to Amir1, he still lives in Tae, he can help with useful contacts.
аватар Pachok
Ilves' prices are higher than those of local agencies, and the same as other "Russian" operators (+/- a couple of dollars).
