Also make sure that there is no rainy season at this time.

At this time, just the rainy season.

This is the hotel I looked at. I really like him. But he's in Phuket. ... the sea is not calm there. Waves. In June. I feel like swimming
аватар ninok54
I am interested in which area the sea is calm and there are still water slides. Samui? ????

Come to Pattaya! There is a legendary waterslide hotel - Pattaya Park Tower! One drawback - there are too many people from Ukraine working as "guides"! One hundred percent chance that they will put on shoes!

Thank you. But I also looked at it. Dirty. And they dress. ... We are in Thailand for the first time and want to relax

Thank you. But then again, this is Phuket, where in June it rains and strong waves? Maybe something else?

A chic water park (and not only!) in Vietnam. Vinpearl Nha Trang Resort. There are no waves in the water area of the island at any time of the year. But Vietnam also has the disadvantage that I mentioned above. Cafes, pharmacies, shops, travel agencies, etc. hold the Ukrainians!

Do you insist that Samui be advised to you? I do not advise. Expensive and boring. It is usually advised by those who have only been there. I saw hotels with water slides on Koh Chang. For example Koh Chang Tropicana Resort And Spa. Boat excursions to neighboring islands are good. The time you have chosen is not very good. Tai is a winter paradise.

I understand that in other areas of Thailand there are no water slides? Maybe at the hotel there are some trampolines?
аватар JeryLee
Everywhere they are. at every resort. Not only on small islands for a "quiet" holiday for adult couples such as Ko Sibaya.
1. You don't like Phuket because of the rough Andaman Sea.
2. You don't like Pattaya because of the "dirty" sea.
The Andaman Sea is not so restless. And the waves are not as big as the "horror stories" draw.
The sea is dirty only in central Pattaya. It is really unpleasant to swim there, and it is not necessary. There are other areas.
What do you not like, for example, Koh Chang? Great beaches. Marine reserve nearby.

You wrote everything correctly. Straight to the point. Suggest hotels with water slides .... at least one. It's our first time. I don't know anything. Koh Chang......are there any hotels with slides?
аватар JeryLee
I gave you the name above. Koh Chang Tropicana Resort And Spa. There are many others.
Good luck! But it's better in winter. And the child will be happy with the body of the sea in January-April much more than in summer. We have been "dilute" the endless winter like this for 10 years already. It helps a lot to live until spring with optimism, remembering two weeks of summer in the midst of our "white silence".

thank you for your advice. We have holidays only in summer

View real-time images from webcams installed in Phuket and other resorts in Thailand. A lot of them. You will see the real picture from the beaches, evaluate the weather, rainfall and wave size. I assure you, when they write about "huge waves", this is the same "huge bust". Take a look for yourself. You have plenty of time before vacation. Maybe the video from these cameras will help you choose a hotel and a beach.

How distant I am .......... where can I find these webcams???????
аватар ninok54
if you could help me, I’m certainly better at Phuket Orchid Resort and Spa 4 * I really liked it. My daughter would be delighted and my husband would also be from the sea

On the Internet, in a search engine, type "webcams phuket online" or "webcams pattaya" or "webcams kochang" and look, look, look .... There are a lot of them. And everyone broadcasts today's reality .... You can watch every day as much as you like ... The effect of presence ...

The most "rainy" weather with rains in Phuket, oddly enough, is in November. That's what the locals say. I haven't been in November so I don't know. But winter, spring and summer is great. It's dry in winter. There is more rainfall in spring, but it is very warm and intermittent. It may be raining on one beach, while the sun is shining on another. There are more butterflies, dragonflies and flowers in spring and summer. Although even in winter they are "unmeasured" by our standards. The only thing is that at the end of spring the Similan Islands in the Andaman Sea are closed for visiting - a very beautiful nature reserve. But the magnificent islands of Phi Phi remain. And a host of others in the province of Krabi. They are covered from the wind including Phuket.

Thanks again to you. I think with the help of you we will have a good rest. Good luck and health

It's my pleasure. This is now my duty. Having visited 40 countries, having worked in Europe and South Asia, 10 years ago I "unexpectedly stumbled" on Southeast Asia. Since then, for me and my wife, the rest of the world has become gray and uninteresting. And Tai is the undoubted pearl of Southeast Asia. The kitchen is incredible. If I see on TV shows the markets of Thailand, Cambodia or Malaysia, saliva immediately stands out, like Pavlov's dog. Rest is amazing. We were 4 times in Phuket, 5 times in Pattaya and one on Koh Samui. In other places, including Koh Chang, they got "on their own". We took all possible excursions. If there are specific ones that interest you, I can help you. :-)
аватар ninok54
please tell me the truth what else from the airport to the hotel takes 5 hours?
аватар JeryLee
Who told you such nonsense? Of course not. Phuket has a relatively small airport, which is now being heavily reconstructed and enlarged. The island itself is also small. It all depends on the order in which the guides "fill" the hotels. Karon, the next big bay after Patong to the south. To the south there are also Kata and Kata Noi. And to the north there are bays in the fantasy park area. That is about the middle. This year we "landed" on Karon an hour and twenty minutes after leaving the airport. You can drive forty minutes, this is around the minimum. Thirty or forty hours at the most. It all depends on the bus and the number of transfers (for minibuses). Sometimes the logistics at the receiving side are very lame.
аватар ninok54
Well, if we are not already considering Phuket. And the hotel that you advised me, Koh Chang Tropicana Resort And Spa, read the reviews yesterday ...... they wrote that it took 5.5 hours to get there. Or am I missing something????
аватар V.A.S.
JeryLee, I admire you! A little more, and the lady will force you not only to take her to the hotel, but also to build slides there!
Ninok54, download the map and look at the size of the island, there is nowhere to go for five hours.
аватар JeryLee
Sorry. I thought we were talking about Karon. It really takes a long time to get to Koh Chang due to the lack of an international airport on it (it is small). You arrive in Bangkok, then by bus quite far to the ferry. Hours 3.5-4. The ferry takes 30 minutes. then a local taxi, depending on the location of the hotel, 25-50 minutes. So it may well "drip" and five and a half hours.
аватар JeryLee
I went to Koh Chang on my own. From Pattaya. I only took a transfer to the ferry. They were looking for housing. Then they drove around the island on bikes. Unlike Phuket, it is safe there. The movement is unsaturated. And there were no cops at all. In Phuket, their mass and "movement" is crazy, so we did not dare to take a bike there. Not a bad place. Picturesque. I liked the sea excursions to the surrounding islands.
