Checking in online for Thai Airways?
We fly to Phuket with a transfer in Bangkok. First flight to Bangkok with mandatory online check-in (different airline). Do I need to check in online for a Bangkok-Phuket flight? Or check in already at the airport, upon arrival in Bangkok, at the check-in desk? If you need (advise) to check in online, then another question arises: when checking in online on the Thai Airways website, I can only check in for the Bangkok-Phuket flight or for the first flight to Bangkok (since I see more than one Thai Airways flight in the booking, but the whole trip, i.e. two flights, one of which is NOT Thai Airways)?

Judging by your explanations, the second flight is operated by an airline that has a contract with Thai Airlines. Register for two flights at once online, you can choose seats.

As far as I remember, even if these are code-share flights, it will not work to register for both shoulders on the website of only ONE of the airlines at once. Who are you flying to Bangkok with?
If I were you, I would check in online for both flights at once (if there is such an option), and already at the airport at the check-in desk I asked to check in luggage to Phuket (again, if such an option is provided, there may be different options) so as not to make unnecessary gestures in Bangkok.
