Tell me from whom it is better to buy a rafting excursion?
They write that the tour operator is much more expensive than on the street. Is there a difference in quality and safety? If you buy outside the hotel, will the bus arrive at the hotel or do you have to go somewhere yourself? Is it better to pay in lira?

It takes about 5 hours to get from your hotel to rafting at one end. After such a road, you won’t even need it in figs. Rafting is good for those who live in Kemer or in Antalya itself - close.
If you take excursions at the hotel from guides, then, as a rule, the cost of the tour also includes the cost of food. That is, you are guaranteed to be fed, and this is important for such long excursions. Another plus: you will have a well-speaking Russian guide. Imagine that you have 10 hours to go (there + back), and WHAT will you do all this time if you are not lucky with the guide?
As for safety, all the accidents that are talked about in the media are accidents with buses of "left" travel agencies. Something I have never heard of a bus overturning or flying into the abyss, for example, TEZ TOURa.
Lord, people! You found 2000-2500$ (or even more) for a ticket - can't you find extra 40-50$ to go on an excursion in normal conditions. Oh, that sweet word FREE!!!...

Last year, the Pegasus bus flew off the bridge. so what about the street agencies, I do not agree. very often, tourists who bought a tour from a street agency end up on the same bus with those who bought a tour from a tour operator in a hotel (but 2 times more expensive). it's anyone's luck.

I have never seen people on the TezTour bus who bought a ticket on the street and cheaper! This is about the previous message ... And about the question - it's better to go with an operator, so it's more interesting and safer and better in general. If you buy a ticket on the street, then nothing bad will happen either. And the bus will drive up to the hotel and feed you, most likely ... But you are guaranteed to get a slightly worse service than with normal operators. Exactly as much as the trip was cheaper, exactly as much you will get a worse bus, guide, boats and costumes, a place where you will eat and there will be more shops along the way with all sorts of garbage at high prices. Do not transfer money to lira. The best currency in Turkey is the evergreen American.

Oh, it's a pity I didn't download from this site a review of one tourist who took an excursion to rafting "on the street"! (Then I would give a link). He writes that they came across a guide who barely spoke Russian, and apart from "How are you?" could not say anything. They came for rafting... Life jackets are all old, with torn fasteners, helmets too, chin straps are tied in a knot so that they don't fall off their heads. The oars are the same. There was practically no safety briefing. For some reason, their boat was launched not from the first rapids, but somewhere after 1/3 from the beginning of the route. One Turk, sitting with an oar in the stern, naturally, could not keep the boat on the rapids, it turned around ... One girl fell out of the boat, her back right on the stones - it’s good that they managed to grab her by the leg and pull her back into the boat. In general, the fear suffered!!!
At the same time, boats with two helmsmen sailed by (as expected), people rowed more or less harmoniously - apparently, they were well instructed what was happening.
I don’t want to frighten anyone, but it’s better to buy such excursions as rafting, motorcycle safaris and others related to uncontrollable forces of nature or auto / motorcycle equipment not from street agencies, but from hotel guides.

we took RAFTING from ANEKS and we really liked it. Upon arrival, we immediately cooperated in a company of 10-12 people and bought everything together from ANEKS: HAMAM (ALARAHAN HAMAM tel. . If you find a HAMAM, it’s cheaper to call yourself and they will come and bring you and take you - it’s not far in ALANYA (20 minutes drive)

If someone finds a good inexpensive HAMAM with foam peeling + oil massage no more than 20-40 USD / person, then please share the information

in Kemer we were in the hammam Buble (Bible), we really liked it. Only there it is better to go from a street agency. from the tour operator we overpaid 20 bucks.

Thanks for the information, but Alanya is very far from Kemer

We went rafting from both a tour operator and a street travel agency. The price difference was 2 times. Everything was good from the tour operator, except for the price. When we went with the street, we went with a company of 6 people, including 4 men with a normal build. We were looking for someone to trust on the street on principle; 1 A normal office will not disappear overnight, the seller of vouchers speaks excellent Russian 2 We agreed that we will give the money on the bus, 3 We were in May, they clarified whether there will be a wetsuit, feeding and everything that comes to mind. Result: the bus was normal, the feeding was normal, the wetsuits were old, torn in some places. We were the only ones from the group in wetsuits, except for a couple of men who paid extra money on the spot and were given almost new wetsuits. Conclusion: for the future, we need to clarify everything to the smallest detail. We went with the same street agency on a historical tour. Remained very satisfied.
A Turkish guide with the most beautiful Russian, extremely informative, all questions, the deepest answers. Their guides have to study for a very long time to become a guide. Our guides who work in Turkey are much weaker and obviously (usually) tired.

If you are going to a utopia, then you most likely will not have a choice between a street and a tour operator. It is only considered that the hotel is located in Alanya, in fact, it is kilometers of road to Alanya, at a distance of about an hour. From Alanya to rafting 2-3 hours drive.

dayzar, but how did you manage to buy a tour from a street agency from UTOPIA?
аватар dayzar
Dear Lanjis, as you are well aware, Utopia is my 5th Turkish hotel. For five visits to Turkey, you can visit all excursions several times.
I discuss only those hotels in which I personally rested, and did not pass, passed by

From a tour operator in utopia, we bought a bathhouse in utopia for 50 dollars per person. The result - walked with abrasions and scratches in the neckline!!! We were taken to a utopian doctor who confirmed that it was the result of a "skillful" peeling. No one apologized, not a penny was compensated, neither the tour operator, nor the hotel workers. In the form of compensation, they offered to write to a restaurant for $ 5 (or I don’t remember the euro already) per person. Here's guest care in the style of a utopian "Where is the suite"

No one promised de luxe in UTOPIA. BEAUTIFUL UTOPIA in terms of price and quality is an ordinary five with an AQUAPARK.
аватар LANGIS
UTOPIA is not "guilty" that you had an unsuccessful peeling in a street HAMAM ... And tour operators are alien people in UTOPIA who were given the opportunity to sell tours to this hotel. This year, TEZturovtsy took "in a row" for UTOPIYA.
аватар LANGIS
Sorry, you had a peeling in the Utopian Hamam ... We did not immediately like the services in this SPA ... for inflated prices. And peeling and massage could be done only in the first two days, and then they got so burned that it was painful to touch, not to do massages.

RAFTING I recommend buying from a HOTEL guide (on the recommendation of tourists who have returned from this adventure)

deluxe is declared everywhere, from hotel catalogs to the hotel itself, on every piece of paper where utopia is written, deluxe is attributed everywhere. Utopia in quality is really the most ordinary four, but in price, at the height of the summer season - deluxe!
Tell people why you got burned? And for the reason that the umbrellas are absolutely not movable, and you don’t move the sunbed much, since there is no place to move!
And excursions can also be taken from street guides (on the recommendation of tourists who have returned from this adventure)!
Dear Lanzhis, why are you defending utopia so much? Add to your salary?
Utopia ruined my vacation (which I rarely have). The value of the hotel in terms of price and quality is absolutely incommensurable. If I paid $1,000 for a tour, I would also clap my hands and say: "What a wonderful hotel." But for 2500 hotel "G".
And my conclusion is based on the fact that for much less money in Turkish hotels you can get much better service, services and food! Those who do not agree with me, I just feel sorry for those. If the limit of "paradise" for you is a utopia. My sympathy to you!
аватар LANGIS
don't argue so fiercely about UTOPIA: how many people, so many opinions...
And they got burned because the sun is hot and the skin is tender, and not because the umbrellas do not move ... I note that the umbrellas do not move anywhere (and in EGYPT they are stationary), and heavy so that the wind does not blow away. And we easily moved the sunbeds.
We objectively evaluate UTOPIY and warn people like you not to "spoil" yourself and others vacation.
We did not overpay for the rest = 750 dollars / person for 7 nights of happiness in UTOPI. And in the "hot" season we do not fly to resorts: EXPENSIVE and HOT.
