The first thing we noticed upon arrival was the smell of sewage at the entrance to the hotel. The white sofas in the hall are tattered, dark spots on the ceiling - yellow stains from the water from the pool, in some places the wiring sticks out of the walls. The hotel clearly needs refurbishment.
- funicular
- 3 water slides
- Turkish bath
- sauna
- massage
- gym
- tennis
- volleyball
- basketball
- aquapark
- beauty saloon
- SPA-center
None of this worked.
There was no animation at all.
The beautiful stream flowing down the steps, which can be seen in the photo, was filled with cement and laid with tiles.
Next to the hall was a games room. It has a billiard table, table tennis, table football, air hockey. There were no balls on all tables except for the billiard table, which made the game process very difficult. However, only one ball was missing from the billiard table.
The TV in the room showed 5 channels and all in Turkish. The tap water was salty. Sometimes it came out hot.
The restaurant has a very meager selection of dishes, which almost did not change from day to day. Cutlery and crockery often came across in dirty stains.
The bar has a rather limited selection of drinks.
The wait staff is sluggish and reluctant to answer questions. Many did not even understand English. It was quite difficult to get a clear answer.
I was also surprised that stray cats and dogs roamed freely around the hotel.
A broken-down minibus was taken to the beach, which in the last few days of our stay in Caliente stopped coming at all. The beach itself is pebbly. The beach had a badly worn dressing room, showers, toilets and a bar. In the sea, the water is clear, but there were a lot of sharp stones at the bottom, which made it a little difficult to enter the water.
In general, the hotel does not pull at all for 4 stars, in some places even for 3 with a big stretch.
For many visitors, the Hotel Caliente left a negative impression.

We got to the hotel using the Bingo 4 * system (I think everyone travels from Ukraine using Bingo), paid $ 1000 for a ticket for 2 adults - not bad for this money, since it still has big drawbacks, but the four, including a full range of services: the hotel has 2 swimming pools, slides, several bars, there is daytime and evening animation (standard as in most hotels), live music every other day - very beautiful Turkish songs. … More ▾ We got to the hotel using the Bingo 4 * system (I think everyone travels from Ukraine using Bingo), paid $ 1000 for a ticket for 2 adults - not bad for this money, since it still has big drawbacks, but the four, including a full range of services: the hotel has 2 swimming pools, slides, several bars, there is daytime and evening animation (standard as in most hotels), live music every other day - very beautiful Turkish songs. That is, if we had bought a cheap three-ruble note with the same money (and nothing better for $ 1000 did not shine), then all this would not have happened.
Food: not very good, but you won't leave hungry. Of the drinks in the bar, only vodka, rake, gin, beer and wine.
Accommodation: the rooms are basically normal, very beautiful views from the window to the mountains and the sea. Cleaning is bad. As for the steps that scare everyone in the reviews - I personally didn’t see any problem in this (we often have much more of them in Crimea), in addition, there is an elevator and a funicular, although you can safely walk on foot (we lived on level 7 - do not be afraid if you are placed high, there are no problems with the steps)).
The beach is rocky, so those who love the sand will be disappointed (but some of our tourists went to the Voyage 5 * hotel, there is a good sandy beach, of course, without Caliente bracelets). Take special shoes.
Contingent: family hotel, many tourists with children, 80-90 percent - Turks, 10-20% - CIS Bingo. At first, I was upset that there were only Turks in the hotel, but then I saw a lot of pluses - after all, where the Russians rest, whom the Turks already hate for obvious reasons, the service and attitude towards tourists is much worse. And the staff here is very friendly and attentive.
Another plus: the hotel is only 5 km from Bodrum, that is, it is the first on the way from the airport, the last to the airport, the road takes only half an hour. And in Bodrum itself, in general, 15 minutes. by minibus that stops right in front of the hotel and runs until 5 am! Bodrum has a very cool nightlife, many bars and discos on the waterfront, young people, so the lack of a disco in the hotel is compensated, you can always go to hang out in Bodrum in the evening (travel $ 2).
Bodrum has amazing nature! We took an excursion on a yacht (in a small travel agency near the Voyage hotel for $ 34 for two), the impressions are super!!!
Have a good rest everyone!

I read all the reviews before my trip to know about possible shortcomings and re-read after returning. I can't agree with anything that has been said before. Firstly, I must say that you need to go on vacation in a good mood and evaluate everything objectively. Moreover, there are many sites on the Internet where you can read the description of the hotel and see photos.
I read in a previous review that there was a huge stain either from tea and wine and it was not removed. What is the problem? We also somehow sat down at a table with a huge stain, but were not too lazy to go to the bar and ask to be wiped and in a couple of minutes everything was done.
About the fact that the hotel does not speak Russian: yes, they are NOT OBLIGED to know it!! ! Even a minimal amount of English is enough to explain what you want (well, only if you are not going to swear) and in good enough English you can get an answer. Well, in general, at least in the restaurant, the staff tries to learn the necessary phrases in Russian. Yes, and about the staff, everyone is very friendly, it was generally impossible to find fault here.
They lodge at the upper levels not because you have a Russian or Ukrainian passport, but because there are simply no places. We were settled on the 2nd level, and when the Turks arrived, they were settled on higher levels. The same applies to tablecloths in a restaurant: if they have time, they change them for everyone, not only for the Turks.
The dishes were all clean. I think that even if I set myself the goal of finding a dirty plate, fork, cup, etc. , it would be difficult to do so. The food is delicious, fresh and varied. You definitely won't be hungry.
The fact that there are already a lot of steps and it’s stupid to complain, these are the features of the local landscape. For picky tourists from the CIS countries, no one will move mountains. Even if you are accommodated at the highest level of the hotel, and on the day of departure you will be in a state of shock from the thought of how to lower your suitcase, you have the opportunity to press one phone button and call the reception and ask for help.
As for the rooms: the hotel, apparently, after renovation, the rooms are clean, there were no rusty plumbing and rusty trash cans, they were cleaned every day and towels were also changed every day.
The fact that they promise you ultra all inclusive, they say that this is a 5 * hotel 300 meters from the hotel, so make claims to the tour operator or travel agent who described it to you.
Beach: at first it upset us a little (take slippers to go into the sea! ), but with us it was cleaned and prepared for the beginning of the season. I don’t agree with the fact that at 7 pm they start to kick out from the beach. It’s just that the staff on the beach also have their own work schedule and every evening they must collect sunbeds (this is part of their duties). Imagine you are sitting in the office, and before the end of your hard working day a visitor comes to you, and you need to close the office, you will also try to send this visitor away, especially since your profit does not depend on the fact that he sits with you ))) No one will force you to take you off the beach, and you can sit there without a sunbed. And one more important point: on the beach, the cups are DISPOSABLE, which is very pleasing =)
I really hope that my review will slightly improve the opinion about this hotel. he is really REALLY GOOD. And probably much better than last year.
I wish you all a good rest and do not forget that our mood mainly depends on ourselves and our attitude towards others. =)

I went to Bodrum on a last minute trip, but I wouldn’t say that it was very cheap, as the tour operator sold it as a 5-star hotel, but this is 3 with a big stretch. The hotel was chosen by itself, from several. Read reviews. Animation for children was very important for me. . . And so I stopped at this hotel, because the reviews were very pleasing. When we arrived, EVERYTHING, absolutely EVERYTHING shocked me. At the reception, where there was white leather furniture and tables, there was a huge stain either from tea or wine (not so important) they waited for two hours until we were settled, no one came up and wiped it, only the girl at the bar was sitting and falling asleep on the go . There is not a single Russian speaker at the reception, it is simply impossible to beg for something, because it seems that they also do not understand anything in English.
When the porter came for our things, we went to our long-awaited room. We walked for a very long time, rode the elevator, and then walked again and again the elevator. The territory of the hotel is large, but the only problem is that there is practically no place to walk, everything is on the steps. But pleases the view from the room, the higher, the more beautiful. And I have two children, for them I fear, as if their neck were broken.
There are very few Russians in the hotel, it seems that only Ukrainians are sent there for some kind of BINGO. The Turks rule there, of course, even at the bar, if a child comes up for a cola, the bartender will not even pay attention to the child until he has served all the Turks.
A mini club for children is something with something, there is nothing but paints, there is a TV with cartoons, but they are all in Turkish. There is almost nothing for the kids to do. Animators are almost invisible in the hotel. Although it became more fun with the advent of TURBO, water aerobics and games for adults and children began to be held during the day. In the evening, with the advent of TURBO, it also became more interesting. But then again, he speaks a lot of Turkish and only 2-3 words in Russian, so you just wait for him to shut up and start entertaining his esteemed guests.
As for the kitchen, there is plenty of food there, and this is the only plus, there is always something to choose from, sea fruits, ice cream in the evening. but here’s the jamb, the dishes are always dirty, you have to be more careful, and they don’t have time to clean the tables, so there’s enough dirt there not only at the reception.
The sun, the sea, the beach. . . I don't argue too much sun, the sea is beautiful turquoise, but the beach is not 300 meters at all, and it's a bit far to walk. A very small beach, sun loungers are almost on top of each other, We went once at 5 pm, and at 7 we were almost asked to leave with brooms, and I, as a girl, am not scandalous, she said that I would not go, because I here I breathe, but they almost take the deck chair out of the ass and call the guards. In Russian, they still don’t understand anything, so it’s useless to explain something to them.
Oh, and when I left, I was struck by their attentiveness and punctuality... During the day I went to the reception with a Lithuanian girl animator (she speaks English very well) and asked that porters sent me 15 minutes before departure to take my things away (well, you probably understand that if we went up for a very long time, then we need to go down, respectively), but unfortunately I didn’t wait for anyone, I had to lower my suitcase myself, it’s good that at least halfway through I came across some kind of boy, on whom I loaded my so not I wear light.
So, dear, "vacation was a success" !! ! If you still have a desire to go there, happy disappointment, but I certainly won’t go there.
