Our priority is a calm, family vacation, therefore, given the above, in 2020 this hotel was primarily considered for recreation, but until August 15 there were no offers for the hotel (it was closed) and when it suddenly started working (and this is like once fell on the period of our planned holiday), then, after weighing all the possible options, we decided to visit it again (despite the opinion that the same hotel should not be chosen more than once, and there is some common sense in this opinion, since you pay more attention to shortcomings than on the first visit).

We rested during the period of measures to combat COVID-19 from 18.08. 20-27.08. 20 (2 adults + child about 5 years old).

Transfer

Like last year there was a direct transfer (without stopping at other hotels).
No more than 5 families went to the hotel on a big bus, 3 families from the hotel on a Mercedes Sprinter. For us, this is + when choosing a hotel. The journey took about an hour.

Settlement
We were at the hotel at 6:30 am. By 10 o'clock they were provided with a room. But we didn’t really expect a check-in, and at 7 o’clock we went to the dining room, after which we went to the beach. At 9 am (at the opening of the issuing point) it became possible to get beach towels.

Guest service work
It should be noted right away that the first day of stay at the hotel was fraught with some difficulties associated with the arrangement of the room and its functioning. In the room that we received (No. 253 economy room, the room is small without a balcony, last year it was also in 159 without a balcony, but its area is larger), there was no bed for a third person (child), the mini-bar did not work, there was no the switch on the lamp and the common button did not turn it off (it could only be turned off by pulling the plug out of the socket).
When contacting the guest service already at 12 noon, the problem was solved.
But the biggest problem when the outside temperature is closer to 40 degrees Celsius is a non-working air conditioner (I think you remember it: it turned on, blew, but it didn’t cool down and, as it turned out later, it worked for heating, and that’s it not in the control panel). The workers who were sent by the guest service tried to explain on their fingers (they know only Turkish) that the air conditioner should work and that it is necessary to leave one key in the room so that the air conditioner works all the time, but these recommendations did not work.
From 14 to 16 we rested in a room in which it was about 30 degrees Celsius (when leaving the room it was felt that it was much cooler in the common corridor).

At 5 pm, finally, something was switched on the air conditioner unit itself, and it began to cool the air. As it turned out, the air conditioner worked for heating and it's not the control panel.
It would seem that all problems are solved, but ....After a while, water began to drip from the air conditioner.
From that moment on, we have already begun to raise the issue of changing the room, and the hotel, for its part, tried in every possible way not to do this until a certain point, referring to the lack of available rooms.
From 6 p. m. , workers came to us about 3 times to repair the air conditioner and each time they made it so that the water stopped dripping at a certain moment, however, seeing what types of repairs were used (this is an installation using electrical tape and silicone on the case of the air conditioner tank so that the water does not dripped on the floor, but fell into this container, which subsequently overflowed and the water simply poured onto the floor, supports were made from several layers of cardboard) it was clear that there would be no sense in this.
The repair worker did a great job, he did everything he could and what the management told him and made any decision was beyond his competence, but it was clear that what was dead could not live.
They came to us for the last repair at 11 pm, when the wife and child were already sleeping ...or trying to sleep. The repair was completed after midnight, and closer to one in the morning the water was dripping again. At one in the morning they brought a bucket, which I asked not to flood the neighbors (it’s sarcasm about flooding the neighbors, although there was a lot of water, 5 liters dripped in a couple of hours ....then they just turned off the air conditioner ...it’s impossible to sleep with the sounds of “drip, drip, drip” ).
FYI, the gym is also dripping from the air conditioner and there is a puddle on the floor.

In the morning, however, the room was replaced (room 151 standard with a balcony). It also had a non-working mini-bar, but this problem was solved within a few hours quickly.

As a result - minus one day of quiet rest.

Despite the fact that I went through the negative point in great detail, in fairness, I would like to express my gratitude to the guest service workers for their troublesome and not very rewarding work (since they mostly come to complain). Guest service works in this hotel, issues are resolved, feedback is available and it's great.

After changing the room, our vacation went perfectly (so much text about the problem and one small suggestion for a further great vacation)))).

Room and room service
The room is cleaned daily, as is the replenishment of the mini-bar (in case it is empty), in which there are 2 units each: sparkling water, plain water, cola, fanta and beer. The bathroom was comfortable, everything worked, there was no mold.
What was missing in the room, given the rest with the child, was an additional lining on the toilet (so that the child's butt did not fall through) and a stand so that the child could climb onto this toilet and then wash their hands on their own. Neither the stand nor the overlay in the hotel was available this year either, although last year these proposals were left to the hotel. We assumed this and the lining on the toilet was taken from home. As a suggestion for the hotel management, I think that there should be several sets in the hotel. For example, Akka Claros Hotel has 4 toilet covers, and this is a 4-star hotel.

Territory, beach
The hotel area still remains green and well-groomed with its own and clean beach, located 1-1.5 minutes walk from the building and having a sufficient number of sunbeds to accommodate vacationers. The entrance to the sea is pebbly, so if you have sensitive feet, it is recommended to bring appropriate footwear.

Nutrition
Criteria for nutrition for each individual. There was enough food for us. Compared to last year, it seems that the food has become a little more monotonous (maybe the COVID-related restrictions affected, and therefore the food is served by the staff, and not by the vacationer), but in general everything is OK. We certainly weren't hungry. You can eat both in the main restaurant and have a good snack at the bar near the slides, + cakes and ice cream at certain times near the pool.

Children's animation

There are no questions about dancing in the evenings, every evening our daughter attended them with joy, for which we thank the girl who saw them off. As for the mini-club, it turned out that we visited it in the afternoon hours. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the hotel opened on August 15, and we arrived on August 18, but, in my opinion, there were not enough Russian-Ukrainian speaking animators and the mini-club was sluggish in the afternoon. It should also be noted that on the day of departure (27.08.
20) visited the mini-club in the afternoon (thanks to having heard the announcement near the pool about the ball animation). It was super. The animators (I concluded that these were specially arrived animators) worked perfectly. The daughter is delighted (they even had all the figures: butterfly wings ...crowns ...balloon bunnies that they made to take home on the plane, airport workers even conferred whether we could be allowed on board, but they let us in). I don’t know if there was such an animation every day in the afternoon or not, but I would like to say that the animation should be just like that.

Evening animation
I especially remember the animation with dances with acrobatic elements and a separate show of acrobats. Super.

Lobby bar
Separately, I would like to walk around the lobby bar. The bar has imported alcoholic drinks: Chivas, Jack Daniel's, Remy Martin and others, but they are not always available or they do not always want to pour them (but if you are more persistent, then they are).
And I would really like the bartender to pour them in front of you, and not run away from your field of vision, which is practiced (I encountered the fact that the bartenders had the intention to splash something into my glass, something else, instead of Chivas, but since I followed following the bartenders, they had to change the bottles at the very last moment and pour me what I ordered). Therefore, I believe that alcohol (foreign) should be poured in front of a hotel guest in order to exclude any guesswork.

COVID
There are enough disinfectants on the territory of the hotel, disinfectant wipes, masks are distributed. But extra attention should be paid to washing forks and spoons, as well as glasses.

WiFi
Free WI-Fi throughout the hotel, but compared to 2019, in my opinion, it has become worse. Very often it turns off and had to reconnect (and you only find out that there was no WI-Fi after reconnecting ..

Outcome

On the first day of our repeated stay at the hotel, I thought a lot about what rating I could give this time, and some low scores appeared in my head. But, after successfully resolving all the problematic issues, mostly thanks to the guest service, and after most of our carefree holiday, I think that the hotel can still be highly rated (there is a certain credibility in this assessment). Yes, there are points that need to be improved, tightened up and not run, but at the moment I would recommend the hotel for a family, relaxing holiday and perhaps we will visit you for the third time.
