Departed from Odessa at 9 am, at 4 am the next day, on Zanzibar. The flight of 17 hours, with a change in Istanbul, on Turkish Airlines was great: comfortable seats (lots of legroom). Three meals a day, entertainment on board - everything is included in the ticket price. From the airport to the hotel 1.5 hours drive. We were transported by a comfortable, small bus. We flew from TPG, met a Russian-speaking guide. The hotel itself is located in the northeast of the island, in the village of Matemwe. There are no signs or advertisements to the hotel itself, so it is quite difficult to find the way the first time. The hotel consists of two large villas with 8 rooms. The hotel is quiet, comfortable and very homey. We got a room on the second floor, above the reception, and this is the best room in the hotel, as we later learned from other residents. The room is very large in size, with a beautiful terrace and a direct view of the ocean. The room has beautiful furniture, very clean, cleaning once a day and in the evening cleaning of the room from mosquitoes. 0.5 bottles of water per person are brought per day. There is no kettle in the room and the mattress is quite hard and hard. We went to food HB and were very satisfied. There is no buffet in the hotel, there is a small similarity for breakfast, then everything is on the menu. The food is delicious, the portions are large, very tasty ice cream, fresh juices. For prices, it is better and more profitable to buy a tour with dinners, because the prices are not cheap, this is not Goa. The hotel has an excellent small pool, beach towels are issued at the reception. The location of the hotel is very convenient - right on the ocean, the restaurant is also located almost on the beach, so the views and landscapes are very beautiful everywhere, a lot of greenery, flowers, palm trees. On the beach there are umbrellas under which you can sunbathe and there are beach chairs that, at your request, the staff will bring to the beach for you. The staff at the hotel are very friendly, cheerful, welcoming and English speaking. Excellent hotel manager Yaya. Ebb and flow are present. We adjusted our day to these natural phenomena and they did not bring us any discomfort. In mid-December, the tide began to ebb around 11 pm and the water returned closer to 2 pm. The sand on the beach, like snow-white flour, is very beautiful. There is some algae in the ocean and a lot of sea urchins, you need special shoes. When the tide began to ebb, we went on foot to the reef, on our own, without local guides. You can see beautiful and colorful starfish, take beautiful photos with them. There is not much to do on the reef itself, a little walk, look around and back until the tide comes in. Excursions are organized from the hotel: we went and were very pleased. At prices, cheaper than the tour operator, but more expensive if you go to the beach guides. The car on the tour picks up directly from the hotel and brings it to the hotel, there are no time limits, the tour is completely individual. We visited the Old City and the Turtle Island, only positive emotions. Germans, Swedes, Ukrainians, Russians and tourists from the United Arab Emirates rest in the hotel. The hotel was fully occupied during the Christmas holidays. We were very satisfied with the rest, I definitely recommend the hotel and the island of Zanzibar.
