Traveling is great, it is always interesting, and traveling around your own country, especially in good conditions and with prepared tours, is doubly interesting.

Here you are sitting, for example, in the Kiev office, life goes on as usual, in the evening you come home, and there, on TV, for the umpteenth time they repeat the film by Jerzy Hoffmann "With Fire and Sword" and events are developing somewhere very close, in your country, and you have never been to that Dubno, and read this story only in textbooks. And this castle attracts you with its mystery, especially if you are a person with imagination and can imagine all the characters: the panyanka, the Polish soldiers, and Colonel Ivan Bohun.

So we, without having the opportunity to leave in a full vacation in the summer, we decided to finally get to those "Treasures of Volyn" (weekend tour, more precisely 2 days), to which the second year was watching. And we got there. And not only have we never regretted it, but on the contrary, looking through the photos now, in late autumn, we fall more and more in love with these places, with this natural and historical beauty.

The tour program is very rich:

1st day: the city of Ostrog and the Ostroh Academy, the Gospel Museum in the village of Peresopnitsa and the "Tunnel of Love" in the village of Klevan.

We our our excellent guide, a young girl in love with my city.

In addition to interesting and prestigious faculties, the Academy has a wonderful interfaith (and therefore more interesting) church, as well as real dungeons with bats. To study in such an Academy is probably a great happiness. Everything is equipped, there is a beautiful park near the library, and there is free Wi-Fi for students.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  )

The times were difficult then, but even now it is not easier.

After we go to the village of Peresopnitsa to the Gospel Museum. All Presidents of Ukraine take an oath to their people on the Peresopnitsa Gospel (the original, however, is kept in Kyiv). The museum is small, but very informative.

And the last point of today is the Tunnel of Love. The place is just very beautiful and romantic (people in the know say that at any time of the year). In fact, this is an operating railway branch of a woodworking enterprise, over which the crowns of trees converge beautifully.

I was very pleased with the Ivanhoe transit hotel. The hotel is beautifully stylized as a haven of knights, the rooms are like in European "fours", the service in the restaurant is top-notch (we had dinner there), and the breakfast is full, hot and tasty.

Day 2: Lutsk and Lutsk castle, Dubno castle and Tarakanovsky fort.

In Lutsk Castle, such an interesting guide, you are afraid to fall behind him even 2 steps to miss anything. From the top of the tower you have a great view of the city, and the herald welcomes all the tourists, which is very nice.

And on the territory of the Lutsk castle they sell wonderful balms with honey "Old Lutsk".

We took a 200 gram bottle as a souvenir, but in the fall, having caught a cold, it helped out a lot. Literally a teaspoon, but it warms up the nasopharynx, amazingly.

And here it is - the city of Dubno, the town is small and clean, but the castle is really impressive

There is also a love story (albeit in no way connected with the film) of the beautiful Beata, in whose honor the castle watchtower is affectionately called Beatka by the townspeople.

There is also a belief that whoever climbs Beatka will definitely meet his "half".

Some even managed to meet twice.

There is still a lot of work in the castle, for a long time it was at the disposal of the military unit, but what has been done is already attracting people who love history there.

And the last point - Tarakanovsky Fort.

Carefully camouflaged, painstakingly built, it changed its owners several times, moving from one army to another, but retained the grandeur of the buildings, although it was ruined. There are no official tours there and many tourists find it and visit it on their own, but it is still advisable to go there with an experienced guide, because. it is dark inside the premises, there is no lighting, but there are plenty of holes and wells several meters deep.

In general, there are many impressions. 2 days were not in Kyiv, but it feels like a week has passed. All objects are from different historical eras, but by combining them into one tour, we can say with confidence that these are the "Treasures of Volyn".

a few words about the tour operator "Anga-Travel". We've been traveling with them for over a year now. We managed to see a lot of things in such small tours. Were in Kamenetz-Podolsky, and in Vinnitsa, and the tour operator always has good hotels, usually in the city center. Included in the price of the tour and lunches in various cafes, all good. And usually good transport. On this tour, this is a Mercedes Sprinter minibus with working air conditioning and normal distances between the seats, and what else do you need in the heat of +35?
