Tell me, is the sea in Ochakovo or Rybakovka fresh or salty?
Lots of greenery in the water? And how can you rest there? Is it possible to go at the end of September?

We did not rest in Ochakovo. But we saw the beach and the "sea" there.
We rested on the Kinbur Spit - 15 minutes by speedboat from Ochakov.
If you look at the map, then in the north it happens to be the same "sea" as Ochakov.
Although the locals do not call it a sea, but an estuary.
The south of this spit is washed by the real open Black Sea. With crystal clear water.
Therefore, it was possible to compare.
So. There is no sea in Ochakovo. Ochakov is the place where the water from the Dnieper comes out. It is precisely this Kinbur Spit that prevents her from mixing with the open sea.
That's why it's fresh dirty water, taking away everything g...but from all over Ukraine. At the end of July, this sea was still teeming with waterfowl, which caught karsases in the sea and sharpened them on the beach.
I didn't swim there. But I saw that a lot of algae.
In addition, there is nothing to see in Ochakov itself. Therefore, I cannot recommend this depressive city and the dreamy sea.

We rested in Rybakovka .... it doesn’t smell like the sea .... the water is very fresh ... a kind of semi-finished product of the sea ... :) I don’t know about the weather in September ... :)

I looked through the entire Kinburn Spit on the map, but I don’t see a single base on the side of the sea. Where did you rest? Maybe I'm not looking in the right place?

Been to this "resort" (Rybakovka).
- when the tide comes from the sea - the water is even nothing, transparent, salty, only cold;
- there is no tide - the water is like in a river, muddy, dirty, but warm;
- there are awnings on the beaches;
- there is nowhere special to go in the evening, only "Melnik" is decent.
- mostly recreation centers, but there are also private cottages;
- the words of the local population - the season begins on June 15, and ends on August 25.
Recreation for those who want to "get away" from civilization.

There is on the side of the sea. For example Steep Osip and Rimba http://www.kinburn.com.ua/
Those on the sea are more expensive. I want to warn you right away that there is no entertainment infrastructure. Just wild nature, sands, pines, wild steppe. But there are many beautiful shells - Rapan. Even stingrays and dolphins swim. Once we saw a deer and pelicans. + Mushroom season has started there now. Mushrooms there are not measuredly large and beautiful. Paul Odessa goes there for mushrooms.))
You can rest on the side of the estuary, where bases are cheaper in the village. Pokrovskoye and drive or walk to the sea on foot (approximately 4 km.)
Regarding the sea, when I have not seen such a calm sea anywhere (at the "point" of the spit)
In the summer there was an equipped tent camp in a pine forest on the shore.
So there are many options. You can get from Ochakiv by speedboat in 15 minutes (expensive) or by boat Kozirka at a price of 50 UAH/person (but 45-60 minutes).
You can take a minibus from Nikolaev, which then transfers passengers to a truck. But drive slowly for 5 hours.

The sea is there, the sea. And water is different. It all depends on the wind and currents

Kinburn Spit is a distant, wild, but wonderful resort. Read my story and review
