In July of this year, my sister and daughter and I were vacationing in Verkhovyna. After a long search on the Internet, we still chose the estate "Tystra" for living and did not regret it. We are very grateful to the owners of Mrs. Oli and her husband for the warm, sincere welcome and excellent living conditions (and all this at a very reasonable price! )

Thanks to the local guide Kobyliuk Vasyl Oleksiyovych, we climbed Hoverla and now we can be proud of ourselves, because we conquered the first peak in life (hopefully not the last! ) The descent was not only difficult but also extreme.

However, our efforts were not in vain, as we saw how the Prut River begins from a small stream with crystal clear and pleasant-tasting water, which descends with a stormy, loud waterfall on the rocks among the mountains to the bottom. This whole trip was accompanied by legends, interesting historical, geographical facts and Hutsul stories performed by our unsurpassed guide Mr. Vasyl (for which we are extremely grateful to him! )

The next day we went to the mountain meadow, where we saw with our own eyes how cheese, brynza are prepared in the Hutsul hut, and also the owner Andriy cooked for us a real Hutsul banush, which we enjoyed sitting at a table among the mountains on the mountain meadow (romance! ) we climbed to the top of Rotilo mountain, saw Dovbush's barns, and at the end Mr. Vasyl took us to the blueberry meadow, where we ate berries to our heart's content.

In Verkhovyna we visited the museum-manor of the film "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors", where the guide Mrs. Halyna very fascinatingly told the story of the manor and the shooting of the film.

Another place worth visiting is the Roman Kumlyk Museum of Folk Instruments. This is a man orchestra, a man holiday! He not only knows how to play each of his instruments, but also tells the story of their origin, accompanied by witty fables, anecdotes and more. An hour of fun tour passed like 5 minutes.

Regarding nutrition. In order not to burden Ms. Olga, we decided to eat on our own. I didn't want to cook on my own, because we are on vacation! Unfortunately, there are few food establishments in Verkhovyna. The hut "Vodogray Karpaty" was unpleasantly impressed by the bad taste, the restaurant "Ukrainochka" was distinguished by unprofessional service, and in the estate "Povnitsa" we were ignored without opening the door near which we rang several times.

But the restaurant "Svitlytsia", located in the center of the village, pleased us with hospitality and friendliness, and delicious food. Prices there are quite reasonable: for a set lunch for 4 people, we paid an average of 140 UAH. By the way, thank you to the waitresses Lesya and Lyuba for their service!

Next year we plan to visit the wheel of Hutsul Verkhovyna again!
