Okay, not very

Who does the author recommend the hotel to?: For a relaxing holiday; For families with children
Traveled with my husband in June.
The purpose of the trip is a quiet, relaxing holiday for two - away from the stove and the bustle of the city, besides, I am a big lover of forests and have never been to the Carpathians.
Transfer:
300 UAH - from the railway station in Volovets - about 25 minutes along the Transcarpathian "serpentine". We were not picked up by a hotel car, but by a local guy in a Lada (?! ). The uncle is good, but the Lada smelled strongly of gasoline. From the hotel to the station it is already much better - Hyundai, but also someone's personal. Although at the hotel there were comfortable foreign cars with the hotel logo, minivans and minibuses. I understand that the locals in the area earn extra money on the transfer for the hotel. And if no more than 2 guests arrive, then hotel transport does not spend gasoline.
Territory:

The hotel is located on a small hill under the mountain itself. The territory is quite small: a parking lot, a couple of playgrounds, a terrace with a barbecue and a small outdoor pool, a rope park and even a shooting gallery (! ), which represented itself as a perforated wall the size of a person. The hotel itself is also small and is divided into 3 buildings - the main, spa-building and "Scandinavia". Everything is clean, tidy, neat, beautiful.
Neighborhood:
If you are a fan of walking, at least somewhere, then apart from the nearby villages, there is simply nowhere to go. I went one way from the hotel - one village, the other - the second - several houses along the road. True, verdant mountains rise behind the houses, and along them there is a mountain river, so this thoroughly brightens up the impression. Well, if you wish, you can see all this and even much more while driving a bicycle, which can be rented at this or any other hotel for 50 UAH per hour.
Weather:
The weather is changeable - coolness-cloudiness-rain-sun-heat-stuffiness-high humidity. . . All this can happen within one day. It fits me. The scent of the forest is everywhere! Just what the doctor ordered.
Accommodation:
We were placed in the "Scandinavia" building in the "standard" room. The building itself is wooden, from a log house, which gives the rooms a very cozy provincial style. Very nice lilac painting of the walls from the inside.
There are no complaints about the room. Entrance hall with a large mirror, a banquette, a hanger for outerwear, a wardrobe with bathrobes, an extra pillow, a safe and hangers. There was no warm blanket / blanket. In the first couple of rather cool days, we were content with air conditioning.
The bathroom has a very comfortable sink. And the best thing is the constant availability of hot water.
But the fact is that next to the building there was a boiler room, which was constantly heated with firewood, the aroma of smoke from which, sometimes falling in our direction when the wind direction changed, created an even more rustic atmosphere.
The room has a very comfortable double bed, TV (about 20 channels), air conditioning, mini-bar (paid). Wi-Fi in this case almost does not catch - only in the main one.
The only minus of the number and, probably, of the entire building is almost 100% audibility - even with a not loud conversation.
Service:

There are no complaints about the staff either - everyone is polite, everyone will help, prompt, competent, in general. The room was cleaned every day. Change of towels - on request. Change of bed linen - we changed 2 times a week.
Playroom:
We found a children's playroom with a couple of stationary PCs, a console, board games and cheers! - a tennis table, which was immediately tested.
Leisure and other services:
Since we are not fans of swimming pools, spas, and other services that lure tourists to, we limited ourselves to bike rental.
Tours:
Since our plans did not include active recreation, we did not order any excursions, but if desired, the hotel recruits groups to visit Synevyr Lake, Pikuy Mountain, local castles and even thermal springs in Kosino (the hygiene of which is very doubtful with so many people - I recommend google it).
Nutrition:
With all the promotion of this chain of hotels, service, a set of extra. services, "buffet" - this is the hook that many fall for and subsequently do not know how to react - to be disappointed, accept it as it is, or look for a way out of the situation. Although some unpretentious people rejoice - people are different. I’ll make a reservation right away - if you have ever been to Turkey or Egypt before, have tasted the “all inclusive” service to the fullest and hope for at least a faint semblance of THAT “buffet”, relax and don’t hope. Gourmets with delicate taste buds have nothing to do here at all. Vegetarians - especially stock up on bread and take everything with you. For whom nutrition is not the main thing, for people who are omnivorous, everything is very suitable.
I'm telling you - only my personal impression with my husband.
Menu:
Morning - buns with sesame seeds (tastes like arnautka bread), cereals, muesli, butter, honey, jam (2 types), hard cheese, cheese, sausage (with a blue tint), sausages, porridge (buckwheat or rice), cheesecakes with raisins (dumb in appearance), pancakes (rubber is even softer), pancakes (quite tolerable, there were only 2 times), scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs). Oh yes, fruits - wooden strawberries, shriveled cherries, golden apples, orange slices, dried fruits - raisins, prunes.

Lunch - the most delicious of all that was - hake fried in batter (once in a whole week), potatoes (young, baked, later half-eaten and reheated several times), mashed potatoes - drowned in oil, cereals (buckwheat, rice (often with defrosted (in summer-! ) vegetables), wheat, barley, banush with brynza) - not every and not always with butter, meat (in very small variations, chicken, cutlet "buzhok"), soups - pea (once per week), borscht (once), buckwheat, rice, chicken broth, salads - cutting vegetables separately or together (cabbage, Beijing, tomatoes, cucumbers - greenhouse vegetables, almost tasteless). Sweets - EVERYTHING! two stars of the "banquet" - croissants with chocolate and puffs with raspberry jam - not that tasteless, but! - every day... separately or together... for lunch and dinner... mixed with fresh and "spread"... often warmed up (so as not to notice that "spree"). There were also “cookies” - which we don’t sell everywhere even in transitions.
Drinks - compote, orange "juice", Lipton tea in assortment, grain coffee.
Dinner is almost the same as for lunch, only without the first.
Oh, "Sovok", when will you leave us...
Even if you take the Soviet menu, then even from these products you can come up with at least 2 times more variations of dishes - the same potato pancakes, zrazy, Greeks, and what a diverse Ukrainian cuisine we have...
Of the above, not everything was served at once - one (rarely two) types of porridge, a couple of soups, a couple of meat dishes, a couple of vegetable cuts, croissants and / or puffs, bread. Not everything is freshly cooked - often reheated or recooked a second time.
Order something separately - they don’t cook, go to buy something outside the hotel - to the nearest store in the village - half an hour, in which prices are specially for tourists - Roshen chocolate bar - 35 UAH (for comparison, in Kyiv - 15) and there is no choice , vegetables and fruits - no.
In the restaurant, from what could be ordered separately - it's alcohol, teas, coffees, ice cream (delicious! ) - in stock.
Yes, you won’t stay hungry, you can sit on cereals and vegetable cuts, whoever has a car can go to Uzhgorod or Mukachevo, stuff the trunk. You can visit restaurants at the nearest camp sites (if you have taken money with you) - the menu there is of course more diverse, there is something to choose, but! - the point is not that, but the fact that you ALREADY paid for 3 meals a day, which is included in the cost of living and went on vacation with the goal - not to think - but to have a bite so that your stomach does not rumble - or drink activated carbon after the "bug".
Outcome:
If it were not for the food, I would give the hotel a solid 4, even with a plus - as for Ukraine, this is a level close to Europe. Otherwise - we wanted a quiet relaxing holiday in nature - we got it. We slept off, breathed in the air, walked around, looked at the greenery.

A word of caution for those who are allergic to small children - I don't know how it is in winter, but in summer their number is one to two in relation to adults.
