New York's Kennedy Airport (JFK) is huge, with many terminals connected by a railroad. We, non-residents, were hounded for a long time at passport control, each passed a scan of our fingers and eyes. We were well received by our friend, her name is Sydney. She booked a room at the Millennium Hilton Hotel, located in the Manhattan area. The road to the hotel by taxi took one hour. The hotel is impressive, it's a tall building with large tinted windows. Our room was located on the 46th floor. From the windows there was a magnificent view of the city, the Brooklyn Bridge, but we also observed a fenced wasteland under the windows, where the collapsed twin towers were located. Now construction equipment is working there, and at the gate there is a memorial with a chronicle of that tragic day. In the evening we had a walk around the city, its famous streets. The next day was busy.

We managed to take a boat trip, which shows the sights of the city from the water. Various water excursions are offered, there are with a visit to the Statue of Liberty and climbing to the crown of that very lady. But it takes a long time. We visited another high point. Having stood in a huge queue, we nevertheless climbed onto the Empire State Building. The elevator in seconds, laying ears, took us to the 86th floor, then we went to the observation deck, where many people gathered who wanted to look at the beauties of New York from a bird's eye view. All these excursions took more than half a day, we had little time left before our flight to the city of Cincinnati, where our friends live.

Cincinnati is located in southern Ohio, on the banks of the Ohio River, which borders the state of Kentucky. The flight took about two hours. We quickly went through passport control and got our luggage.

We liked Cincinnati Airport (CVG) more, it is also international, but does not accept flights from Russia. It is similar to New York in the number of terminals and mini subways. Cincinnati is a large city with a population of several hundred thousand people. Procter & Gamble is headquartered there. By the way, one of the founders of the company by the name of Procter, a great philanthropist, we later saw a church and other things built with his money. The city has popular teams: the Bearcats in American football and the Cincinnati Reds in baseball.

The road to the house took 20 minutes by car. The evening ended with a dinner in honor of our arrival and distribution of gifts and souvenirs. All subsequent days, Sydney tried for us. She was our guide, we visited many interesting and beautiful places, for which many thanks to her. For us, one of the evenings was an unexpected surprise, when we arrived at the banquet hall without warning, there were a lot of guests, about 50 people.

Now I want to write a few lines about the large and massive places we visited:

"National museum United States air force" - the museum of the US Air Force, is interesting, where a huge number of models of aircraft and missiles from different times are presented. Some models of our MIGs are exhibited there, these are Vietnamese trophies. The latest model of Boeing and Stealth is impressive. Entrance to the museum is free!

«New port aquarium» Being inside and admiring the sharks and stingrays passing by, I often wondered why Moscow, the capital of a huge state, does not have such an interesting place. You walk through the aquarium like a labyrinth, there are also multi-colored parrots with their own tropical corner, important penguins with yellow bellies. At the end of the aquarium, there is an opportunity to touch small sharks with your hands.

«Cincinnati Zoo» A city zoo with a large territory, where funny trains run, for the whole day we could not go around the entire territory.

The animal world is presented to the maximum.

Kings Island is where Sydney and most of her friends work. This is an American style amusement park. I vowed that when visiting America, I should try myself on the steepest hill. The warm-up took place at Top Gun, where the whole family had a bold and fun ride. The attraction is short, but fast and exciting. Next, we refreshed ourselves on a water attraction. The next was the "pillar", raising and sharply lowering people. I tried this before in Moscow, but it was about two dozen meters high. Here it’s different, the rise goes 300-400 meters above the ground, fading and an instant second descent ...You don’t have time to get scared. The park has a variety of water attractions, both for children and adults, after which you see wet people wandering around. The final one for us was Vortex. In my opinion, this is the most exciting slide. The best rule on these rides is: don't look down, don't close your eyes.

The people are screaming at the top of their lungs. Visiting almost all attractions is free, you pay only for the entrance ticket to the park. We could not try ourselves in everything - there was not enough time, and somewhere maybe courage. Closing takes place at 10 pm, every day you can watch beautiful fireworks.

A little about the way of life and the structure of life in the USA. Sidney's husband, named Jerry, has a very interesting hobby, he designs and collects sketches and miniatures of trains, railways, stations, houses and entire areas. In the basement of their house, he has a whole workshop and several ready-made models, one of which is the Philadelphia microdistrict. Jerry's hobby was evaluated by one of the specialized magazines, his workshop was filmed by television. Most average Americans live in their own homes, and we lived in one of those. They are not great, compared with the new Russian ones. Entering inside, you are surprised at the comfort and availability of the necessary premises.

We saw a lot of old houses that are about 100 years old, they look great and serve people. There are almost no fences anywhere! Americans are very law-abiding, respect themselves, others and their country. Every third house, institution or car carries the national flag or symbols of the country. I envied their patriotism, which, unfortunately, is not inherent in our people: ((Ten days flew by instantly, we visited three American states, got a lot of impressions, information and new friends. We had a different way back to the airport, our car was transported through Ohio River, ferry. This route is old, existing for a very long time. At the airport, our luggage went off scale again and we had to pay extra for it. We had to get things checked in luggage only at Sheremetyevo.

As a result, the flight was delayed, and the luggage arrived in Moscow a day later, but I will not dwell on this in detail.

Thus ended our trip and acquaintance with such a distant and different country America.. .
